OPENING REMARKS APPROVE MINUTES OF SEPTEMBER 6, 2017 SBOE UPDATES LEGAL UPDATE REGIONAL FIBER INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT Mr. Richard Grill, Chairman Mr. Grill called for additions or corrections to the Regional Advisory Committee minutes of September 6, 2017 meeting. A motion to accept the minutes was made by Dr. Carl Montoya and seconded by Dr. Brian Woods. The minutes were unanimously approved. Ms. Marisa Perez provided an update from the State Board of Education. Mr. Jameson Baker, Walsh, Gallegos, Trevino, Russo and Kyle P.C. provided legal update information. Mr. Paul Patillo, ESC-20 and Mr. Russel Neal, VST presented information regarding the new Regional Fiber Infrastructure Project. SUPERINTENDENT BRIEFING Ms. Janna Poth, ESC-20 provided an overview of the hot topics covered in the Superintendent Briefing handout. COMMITTEE REPORTS AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR INPUT Dr. Kevin Brown reported out information from the TASA (Texas Association of School Administrators) Executive Committee. Mr. Lance Johnson shared information on behalf of TREA (Texas Rural Education Association). ESC-20 UPDATES Dr. Goldhorn provided information regarding ESC-20 events and projects. ADJOURNMENT The meeting was adjourned at 12:05 p.m. Chairman or Member of the Executive Committee
