From Monday 10th - Friday 16th March, the University of Bath's Festival Education Programme is back. We've got a week of hands-on workshops, demos and activities in your school and at the University, rounded off with our huge schools fair. Look into my Eyes Let our robot teach you all about light. You ll get to use lasers and light pianos as well as making your own crystals. While at the University you ll get to meet real scientists and also get to see the facilities including our labs. Can you build a tall tower using just marshmallows and spaghetti? A group from the University of Bath will support a session showing students the engineering behind some of the biggest towers. They ll then get to put it to the test to see who can build the tallest and strongest tower. Schools Science Fair Come to the University of Bath for a fun filled science adventure. This free visit for year 5 and 6 students will give them the opportunity to meet actual scientists and get hands-on with real science! There s also an opportunity for year 7 and 8 students to present an exhibition stand alongside university and industry scientists. Salters Festival of Chemistry Salters Festivals are a series of one-day fun events held at universities throughout the UK and Ireland. The festivals provide the opportunity for enthusiastic young students to spend a day in a university department and to take part in practical chemistry activities which are fun! Prizes are awarded to the winning teams. Placements are available across the UK, in universities, commercial companies, voluntary organisations and research institutions.
