1st Annual Northern California Bone and Mineral Symposium The Meritage Resort Napa, California October 5-6, 2006 This meeting is designed for those with a strong interest in clinical care of osteoporosis and bone-related diseases and will focus on new and emerging information. OBJECTIVES Upon completion of this program, participants should be able to: 1 Review and discuss the latest information presented at the recent American Society of Bone and Mineral Research (ASBMR) meeting 2 Describe current controversies in diagnosis, treatment and management of osteoporosis and bone 3 Describe and identify treatment and outcomes of cases presented ACCREDITATION The University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine (UCSF) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. UCSF designates this educational activity for a maximum of 6.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits TM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. This CME activity meets the requirements under California Assembly Bill 1195, Continuing Education and Cultural and Linguistic Competency. For the purpose of recertification, the American Nurses Credentialing Center accepts AMA PRA category 1 credit issued by organizations accredited by the ACCME. The California Board of Pharmacy accepts as continuing professional education those courses that meet the standard of relevance to pharmacy practice and have been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit TM.
