PASSAGE-1 Rural development is primarily concerned with uplifiting people out of poverty. The impact of globlization on rural societies, there economy, environment must therefore be viewed through this perspective. Major aspects of globlization that are related to rural life or its development include the commercialization of agriculture and expansion of agro-industries, liberlization of international trade and marketing for foood and other agricultureal products, intensification and internal labour migraton, increasein privatization of resources, services and the wider use of information and communication technologies. Thus, the wave of globalization which hit India at the end of the last century and it affected all spheres of life. Labour migration to cities from rural areas in search of life. Labour migration to cities from rural areas in search of employment was a common phenomenon earlier. This was for various reasons especially for luxurious life, handsome salary and for numerous job opportunities. Similarly, earlier there was a 'minimum wage act' and now equal wage for all is provided due to the impact of globalisation. Today the percentage of village people attending the call of nature in open fields is reduced. The good road infrastructure makes them successful to sale agricultural products from villages to goods markets in cities and towns. As a result they can earn good markets in cities and towns. As a result they can earn good price of their product. Life in rural India was miserable due to non-availability of electricity. Several villages have been electrified now. It is a big benefit of rural development. Globalization is creating much difference to rural life through electricity. The impact of globalization on Indian urban and rural life has a tremendous influence which is both positive as well as negative. The Indian urban and rural life is viewed as the two faces of the same coin. They are mutually interdependent and both shows a greater impact of globalization. The impact of globalization on Indian rural economy has given a new face to modern India. There is a rapid has given a new face to modern India. There is a rapid and positive progress towards society. Globalization has changed India as one of the global superpowers. However, rural India must tread coutiously on the path of globalization as its negative effects can prove to be catastrophic. x ka'k&1 xzkeh.k fodkl dk laca/k izkfkfed :i ls yksxkas dks fu/kzurk ls cgkj fudkyus ls gsa xzkeh.k lektksa] ogk dh vfkzo;olfkk vksj i;kzoj.k ij os'ohdj.k ds izhkko dks blh ifjizs{; eas ns[kk tkuk pkfg,a os'ohdj.k ds izeq[k igyw ftugsa xzkeh.k tu&thou ;k fqj blds fodkl ds lkfk tksm+k tkrk gs] muds varxzr d`f"k ds okf.kt;hdj.k rfkk d`f"k&m ksxksa ds folrkj] [kk,oa vu; d`f"k mriknksa ds fy, varjkz"vªh; O;kikj,oa foi.ku ds mnkjhdj.k] xgurk vksj vkrafjd Je izolu] lalk/kuksa vksj lsokvksa ds c<+rs gq, futhdj.k rfkk lwpuk] lapkj vksj izks ksfxdh ds O;kid mi;ksx dks 'kkfey fd;k tkrk gsa bl izdkj] finyh lnh ds var eas os'ohdj.k dh ftl ygj us Hkkjr dks vius vkos'k eas ys fy;k Fkk mldk izhkko lhkh {ks=ksa ij ns[kk x;ka igys] jkstxkj dh ryk'k esa xzkeh.k {ks=ksa ls 'kgjks dh vksj gksus okyk izolu,d lkeku;?kvuk gqvk djrh FkhA,slk dbz dkj.kksa ls gqvk] fo'ks"kdj foyklh thou] vpnk osru vksj vusd izdkj ds jkstxkj volja blh rjg] igys ^U;wure osru dkuwu* gqvk djrk Fkk vksj vc os'ohdj.k ds ifj.kkelo:i lhkh ds fy, leku osru dkuwu izpfyr gsa vkt xzkeh.k {ks=ksa eas [kqys es a 'kksp djus okys yksxksa ds izfr'kr ea s deh vkbz gsa csgrj lm+d volajpuk us mugsa xk oksa ls 'kgjksa,oa dlcksa ds vpns cktkjksa ea s d`f"k mriknksa dks cspus eas lqy cuk;k gsa QyLo:i vc os vius mriknksa dks cspus esa lqy cuk;k gsa QyLo:i vc os vius mriknksa dh vpnh dher olwy ldrs gsaa fctyh dh vuqiyc/krk dh otg ls xzkeh.k Hkkjr eas tu&thou n;uh; flfkfr eas FkkA vc vusdksa xk oksa dk fo qrhdj.k gks pqdk gsa xzkeh.k fodkl ds fy, ;g,d cgqr gh cm+k ykhk gsa vkt os'ohdj.k fo qr ds ek/;e ls xzkeh.k thou eas O;kid ifjorzu dj jgk gsa Hkkjrh; uxjh;,oa xzkeh.k tu&thou ij os'ohdj.k ds izhkko dk tcnzlr vlj gqvk gs] tks ldkjkred ds lkfk&lkfk udkjkred Hkh gsa Hkkjrh; 'kgjh vksj xzkeh.k tu&thou,d gh fldds ds nks igyw ekus tkrs gsaa nksuksa,d&nwljs ij fuhkzj gsa vksj nksuksa ij gh os'ohdj.k dk O;kid izhkko im+k gsa Hkkjrh; xzkeh.k vfkzo;olfkk ij os'ohdj.k ds izhkko us vk/kqfud Hkkjr dk,d u;k psgj iznku fd;k gsa lekt ds Lrj ij,d Rofjr,oa ldkjkred izxfr ns[kus dks fey jgh gsa os'ohdj.k us Hkkjr dks,d osf'odj.k dh jkg ij cgqr gh lko/kkuh ls pyuk gksxk D;ksafd blds udkjkred izhkko cgqr gh [krjukd lkfcr gks ldrs gsaa 3

But what exactly do we mean by values? It is an extremely broad term, and we need to focus on the aspects most relevant for strategic leaders and decision makers. What we will first discuss is the distinctive nature of values for public officials; second, the forces which influence the behaviour of individuals in organization; and third, explore the actions that strategic leaders can take to build ethical climates in their organizations. Values can be defined as those things that are important to or volued by someone. That someone can be an individual or, collectively, an organization. One place where values aer important is in relation to vision. One of the imperative for organizational vision is that it must be based on and consistent with the organization's core values. of the organization do not share and have not internalized the organization's values? Obviously, a disconnect between an individual and his organizational values will be dysfunctional. Additionally, an organization may publish one set of values, perhaps in an effort to push forward a positive image, while the values that really guide organizational behavior are very different. When there is a disconnect between stated and operating values, it may be difficult to determine what is "acceptable." For example, two of the army's organizational values include candor and courage, One might infer the officers are encouraged to "have the courage of their convictions" and speak their disgreements openly. In some cases, this does work; in others it does not. 15 As per the theme of the passage, which of the following is incorrect? 1. Organisational values derive the behaviour of the members of an organization. 2. Values are perception or what we perceive as something right. 3. Non-synchronization between an individual's values and his organizational values is highly undesirable. exploits the advances in IT to better help farmers to improve crop productivity. For example, the proposed system cannot help farmers if theri crop dries up due to lack of water or their produce has o market. The proposed system is not aimed at providing solutions to resolve such situations. However, disptie these factors, we believe that by providing timely expert advice to the farmers, we can resolve several situations that are disturbing the crop and improve productivity, For instance, some farmers use excess fertilizers hoping to get more yield and some farmers use excess pesticides due to lack of information. Sometimes, they take loans at higher interest rates to meet unproductive expenses and fall into a debt trap. The proposed system is aimed at improving the situation of the farming community by providing fresh and expert advice to the farmers. By providing timely advice, the system aims to reduce the effect of the factors disturbing the crop (such as sudden pest attack) and maximize the yield. It should be noted that all problems faced by the farming community are crucial and should be resolved at the earliest. Crop failure (or low yield) is one of the most nagging problems. By considering Interniet as a facility to transfer advanced agricultural knowledge to the farming community, we hope to reduce the crop failure problem. The IT component is a new addition to the existing methods. It is an effort to use the advances in IT to disseminate lates agricultural technology to the farming community for higher crop productivity. 24 What can we properly conclude about the system that the author is referring to in the passage?
