Johnson County Community College Transfer Program to the University of Kansas Edwards Campus Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology at KU-Edwards 2017-2018 Catalog Contact: Sandy Leppin Phone: 913 897 8623 Email: bsit@ku.edu Home Page: www.edwardscampus.ku.edu/ BSIT The KU School of Engineering offers a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT), a degree completion option consisting of upper level coursework at the KU Edwards Campus (KUEC). Students pursuing the AS in Information Systems Technology may select courses that satisfy both the AS degree requirements and lower division requirements for a BSIT at the KU Edwards Campus. The AS degree in Information Systems Technology requires the completion of 66 or 67 hours at JCCC. Sixty three (63) credit hours is the maximum number of community college hours that will be applied toward a bachelor s degree at KU. Meeting with a JCCC counselor and a KUEC advisor is strongly recommended for selection of appropriate courses. BSIT Admission Transfer applications to the KU School of Engineering are evaluated on a case by case basis and require a cumulative GPA of 2.5. Only courses with grades of C or higher at JCCC will apply toward the degree at KU. Pass/fail or credit/no credit courses are not accepted. The class sequence below is a suggested course of study only. It is possible to complete this program without following the course sequence exactly as long as prerequisites are noted and followed. As always, meeting with a JCCC counselor is strongly recommended for selection of appropriate classes. Updated 8/17 1
