AAT Level 2 Award in Computerised Accounting Choosing to study AAT Accounting qualifications with ICS Learn will start you on the path to a successful accounting and finance career. Our AAT Level 2 Award in Computerised Accounting allows you to study the first Award of the AAT qualification. This Award offers training in Computerised Accounting and its main purpose is to provide students with specialist knowledge and skills to gain employment in an accounting role and / or the opportunity to progress to further qualification in accountancy or a related field. Overview The AAT Award will give a solid foundation to build your accounting career and start your journey through AAT qualifications. There are no entry requirements for this course and as the AAT accounting qualification is recognised and respected by employers, the practical and transferable real world accounting skills you learn can be put to use from day one. There are no hidden costs when you study for your AAT Level 2 Award in Computerised Accounting course with ICS Learn. All the study materials and support that you need in order to achieve your qualification are included. You will, however, have to pay for the AAT membership and your exams. Entry requirements There are no formal entry requirements for this course. As this is a business orientated finance course you should have reasonable numeracy and communication skills and an interest in how business works. If English is not your first language, IELTS 5.5 is required. The AAT Skillcheck is a short online test with a series of multiple-choice questions. It should only take about 30 minutes to complete. You'll be able to see your results and the recommended level of study immediately. * Please note that if you have a criminal record or have been made bankrupt the AAT may not accept you as a member - consequently you will be unable to sit exams.

Career progression Completion of this course will allow you to move onto the full AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting. The AAT Level 2 Certificate is an internationally recognised qualification that will give you a solid grasp of essential accounting skills and principles. Qualification The AAT Level 2 Award in Computerised Accounting syllabus introduces the essential accounting skills and principles suitable for those with minimal experience. When you complete your studies you will be awarded the AAT Level 2 Award in Computerised Accounting. Course content: AAT Level 2 Award in Computerised Accounting The AAT Level 2 Award in Computerised Accounting (AQ2013 Syllabus) consists of one unit which is outlined below with the key topics listed: Computerised Accounting Entering data at the start of an accounting period to set up customer and supplier accounts Recording and processing customer and supplier transactions Recording and reconciling bank and cash transactions Processing and using journals to enter accounting transactions Production of reports (day books, account activity, aged analysis, statements or remittance advice Assessments AAT assessments are designed to assess the skills, knowledge and understanding you've developed. To achieve your AAT Level 2 Award in Computerised Accounting you have to sit one assessment set by AAT. This assessment is a Computer Based Project and you will have to attend an AAT approved exam centre to sit this. When you are ready to take your assessments, we will help make the arrangements with you. Computer Based Project (CBP) that will be submitted to your tutor for marking. You will get the result once your project has been assessed by your tutor and internally verified by ICS Learn. Assessment centres The assessment fees and invigilation fees for each AAT assessment are not included in the course price. AAT assessment venues accept external candidates for the computer based assessments. When you have successfully passed your mock assessment for each unit (pass rate 70%), we will ask where and when you d like to sit your exam and get in touch with you to agree a suitable date, time and venue. Before finalising the booking for you, we will confirm your booking via email. What s included All the study materials and support that you will need to achieve your AAT Level 2 Award in Computerised Accounting qualifications are included.
