Innovative Entrepreneurship Summer School 6 ECTS credits 16-27 July
Welcome Do you want to change the world? Get the tools to bring your ideas to life this summer at the Innovative Entrepreneurship Summer School. During our 10-day summer school you will explore market opportunities and learn how to turn those opportunities into creative business plans. You will leave the program with the knowledge and skills to implement your plans in global markets. Throughout the program you will grow your global network by working in a multicultural team. Just like a start-up, each team member will take up a role tailored to his interests and abilities. This division of labor requires collaboration amongst teammates to ensure success. Participants can expect personal guidance, lectures, tutorials, and group discussions from renowned professors and passionate entrepreneurs. No prior knowledge is required. After successfully completing the summer school you will earn 6 transferable ECTS credits. Come launch your ideas this summer. 1
The Programme The 10-day program is composed of 7 workshop sessions to give you the skill- and mind-set to begin your entrepreneurial journey. Session 1: Introduction to innovation Attention is devoted here to demographic shifts, technological advances and artificial intelligence. Session 2: Introduction to problem identification At the root of successful companies is a problem that needs solving. In this session you will learn how to identify problems, or market gaps, that need solutions. Session 3: Idea selection Brainstorm with your team. At the end of this session your team will select the most attractive idea for development. Session 4: Analysis of competitive environment You will use SWOT analysis in conjunction with Porter s 5 forces model to identify market threats. Session 5: Business model and secondary market research Conduct research to ensure you build a sustainable model with measurable and feasible benchmarks. Session 6: Business case and financing opportunities Develop your business case and learn about the role of Business Angels, Venture capital, Private Equity and non-equity based financing. Session 7: Pitch Present your pitch to successful entrepreneurs. You can expect feedback on your progress with suggestions on how to fine tune your business plan. 2

You could be a student of any discipline for example, Design, Media, Business, Engineering, Architecture, etc. Exceptional High School students can also join the course. 1600 Transport to and from Belgium organised at your own expense.
