Online Registration March 20 April 18
Advising and registration for the 2017 Fall Semester will begin on March 20 and end on April 18. Following is the schedule by class: Seniors (90+ hours earned) : March 20-24 Juniors (60-89 hours earned) : March 27-31 Sophomores (34-59 hours earned) : April 3-7 Freshmen (1-33 hours earned) : April 10-18 Schedule an appointment with your academic advisor. At the advising meeting, you will plan your schedule for the 2017 Fall Semester. Once the schedule has been determined and agreed upon, your advisor will email the Registrar s Office to release you for registration.
Instructions for Online Registration Schedule a meeting with your Academic Advisor prior to the week of March 20. Prior to your advising meeting, please review the course schedule in Web Advisor and create a tentative schedule. (Step 4 gives directions for searching the course schedule.) Go to Web Advisor, click Students and Log In In Web Advisor, under My Profile, you have access to your advisor s name, your declared major, and your program evaluation.
Program Evaluation provides a checklist which includes the classes you are currently taking, have completed, and the classes still needed to complete your degree. To print your Program Evaluation, choose Active Programs and click Submit. You can print the evaluation by clicking CTRL P on your keyboard. If you have questions regarding your degree audit, please see your advisor.
During your advising meeting, your advisor will review your tentative schedule and courses which may prohibit registration (ex: pre-requisites not met, instructor consent, course overload). Once you are cleared for registration, your advisor will email the Registrar s Office to clear you for your allocated registration time. Please keep in mind the following: *In order to register for a course which requires instructor consent, you must obtain the instructor s signature to allow registration in the course. The Instructor Consent Form can be found at the following link: http://www.lmc.edu/academics/academic-resources/files/instructorconsentform.pdf. Once received, the Registrar's Office will register you for the course. Please complete and return to the Registrar s Office at least one week prior to your designated registration period. A list of these courses can be found at the end of the PowerPoint. * You are not permitted to register for a course in which the pre-requisite has not been met. The Instructor Consent Form must also be completed and turned in to the Registrar s Office. Once received, the Registrar's Office will register you for the course. *You are not permitted to register for more than 18 credit hours without completing a Request for Course Overload form. The form can be found in the Registrar s Office or on the website at: http://www.lmc.edu/academics/academic-resources/files/requestforcourseoverload1314.pdf. Once the form is received by the Registrar s Office and approved by the Provost, you will be registered for the approved course(s). Note: Honors students must complete the form and submit to the Registrar s Office but do not require approval by the Provost.
Problems Students May Encounter Advisor Hold Hold has not been removed by Registrar s Office Student Account Hold Student must see Mary Taylor in Business Affairs office You may receive this message when trying to register for a class: The data record did not pass the criteria specified in the rule. You are not eligible for registration. This pertains to one of the following: 1) Course requires Instructor Consent (If you try to register for a course which requires instructor consent, WebAdvisor will block registration for all courses.) 2) Prerequisite not met (If you try to register for a course in which the prerequisite has not been met, WebAdvisor will block registration for all courses.) 3) Course overload 19 hours or more 5) You try to register before your designated week 6) You have not been formally admitted to an *academic program *If a major requires a student to be formally admitted to the program, you will be prevented from registering for courses in these programs. Example: Nursing, Elementary Education, Special Education, Emergency Medical Services Management. To prevent these occurrences, please complete the necessary paperwork one week prior to your designated registration time and turn in to the Registrar s Office.
Register for classes during your assigned week. 1. To register for classes, go to Web Advisor and select Students.
2. Enter your User ID and password and click Submit.
4. Select Fall 2017 Semester and click Submit to search the entire schedule.

5. To search a specific subject(s) in the schedule, under Subjects, click the drop down box. Click Submit. If you want to narrow your search, you can include the course number.
6. Once you have determined your schedule, click Search/Register for Sections.
7. Click Submit for selection results.
8. Choose your classes by clicking the Select box. Please note: two sections of BUS 101 are shown below. If more than one section of a class is offered, you must choose only one section. Click Submit.
9. After clicking Submit, the courses you have chosen appear at the top of the screen under Preferred Sections. Under Action, choose Register and click Submit. Please note: You can only submit four classes at a time. Once you submit the four classes, you must go back and register for your remaining classes.
10. You are now registered for your Fall 2017 classes. Click Ok to return to the main menu.
11. To print class schedule, click My Class Schedule.
**If you encounter any problems with the registration process, please contact your advisor. If you are unable to reach your advisor, please contact the Registrar s Office at hinshaw@lmc.edu or hensonk@lmc.edu. ***It is the student s responsibility to register for courses that are approved by your advisor. Registering for a course outside your program of study (not approved by your advisor) may prevent you from graduating on time.
