University of East Anglia Individual Travel Fund 2014-15 The University of East Anglia is committed to widening participation to higher education (HE) to enhance the lives of individuals and the prospects of communities in a rapidly changing world. The purpose of our outreach activity is to raise educational aspirations and encourage progression to university for students from backgrounds underrepresented in HE. Our activities are designed to promote the benefits of HE and break down stereotypes through raising awareness of the academic and social aspects of the student experience. The aim of this Travel Fund is to bring more students who wouldn t traditionally go to university on to campus. Where individuals who have specific characteristics typically underrepresented in HE are looking to attend certain events, we can offer payment for a return journey to the University to enable the student to participate.
