MINIMUM ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS To be considered for UC admission as a Junior, you must fulfill the following requirements: Complete 60 semester (90 quarter) units of transferable college credit with a GPA of at least 2.4 (2.8 if you're a nonresident). Two transferable college courses (3 semester or 4-5 quarter units each) in English composition One transferable college course (3 semester or 4-5 quarter units) in mathematical concepts and quantitative reasoning; Four transferable college courses (3 semester or 4-5 quarter units each) chosen from at least two of the following subject areas: arts and humanities social and behavioral sciences physical and biological sciences

MAJOR PREPARATION IS CRITICAL WWW.ASSIST.ORG WWW.SMC.EDU/Articulation Best candidates should have all major prep completed Priority should be given to major preparation rather than general education as some majors do not require IGETC Best candidates work on Major prep and IGETC simultaneously

FALL ADMISSION ONLY Application November 1-30 th but can apply as early as August 1 st. All campuses except Merced Subject to change with very little change. If open for Winter- Apply July 1-31 st If open for Spring- Apply October 1-31st

All U.S. and foreign college and university course work must be reported on the admissions application Complete minimum admissions requirements especially in English and math, as soon as possible. Always complete sequences: (eg: Physics 21,22,23) prior to transfer Apply to several campuses!

IGETC REMINDERS Minimum C grades Recommend completion prior to transfer. Equivalency of course work from other schools must be approved by a counselor Foreign course work cannot be used Student must apply for certification See IGETC Handout for Exceptions
