IUT delivers 2 diplomas Chemistry DUT 120 ECTS The University Diploma of Technology LP 60 ECTS Professional bachelor s degree The DUT is a 2-year French national diploma which roughly corresponds in content and level to a BTEC Higher National Diploma (GB) or 2 year technical degree (USA). The DUT is accessible with the French High-School Diploma (baccalauréat) equivalent to A -Levels. The national program proposed has been developed in close partnership with technicians and specialists from firms, companies or administrations of the studied sector. They together actively participate in the preparation of the curriculum s contents and are members of the board of examiners. From 6 to 8+ year Year 5 Year 4 Year 3 PhD Master II Master I Undergraduate III Students can also go on for one more year at the IUT after they graduated the DUT: The LP is a 3 year degree dedicated to one area. It is a supplementary year of specialization courses that comes after the DUT and that gives access to a bachelor s degree. By the end of the LP, students are awarded 180 ECTS credits. Just like the DUT, the emphasis is also set on technical and practical work. The program is achieved and organized through the combination of formal lectures, tutorials, group projects, oral presentations, case studies and includes the participation of experienced business, scientific and industrial professionals. IUT Licence Professionnelle Professional Bachelor The core of the curriculum is Chemistry (Organic, Inorganic, Analytical, Chemical Engineering, General Chemistry). Lectures, tutorials and practicals are used. Small groups tutorials are held every week, and students are introduced to laboratory skills and various experimental techniques in weekly practical works representing half of their curriculum. They also study Mathematics, Physics, General IT and IT with specific chemistry applications. Besides, there are lessons of Communication and English, working on the development of general knowledge, oral presentations skills and job applications. Our programme also includes a 3-month work placement at the end of the curriculum. Business & marketing International The IUT has signed 60 exchange students contracts with partner universities in Europe + 10 Partnerships outside Europe. The IUT welcomes 100 students each year from all over the world. The International Service supports the incoming students before and after their arrival.
