Namangan State University Contact details: 316, Uychi street, Namangan city, 160100, Namangan city Uzbekistan Tel/fax: +998 69 2265501 Email: pulathon2001@yahoo.com Namangan State University (NamSU) is the largest among the three higher education institutions in Namangan province, the province which has almost 2 mln population with 7900 km2 area located in eastern part on Uzbekistan. It was established in 1942 as a pedagogical institute. Nowadays the university has 6306 students of bachelor s degree and about 200 students of master s degree levels. It has 430 teaching staff which 36 % of them have PhD and Doctoral levels. NamSU offers various courses of study, including 23 bachelors educational programs, 11 masters specialization programs, 10 programs for PhD. These programs are in Languages (Uzbek, Russian, English, and German), Literature, Social sciences, Law, Political sciences, History, Archive studies, Pedagogy, Psychology, Education, early childhood education, preschool education, Sport, applied art, geography, economy, mathematics, physics, chemistry, technical sciences, and etc. Today the university has academic relationships with more than 100 advanced universities in Europe, Asia and CIS countries. Every year the teaching staff and students attend different scientific events and spend academic visits in advanced universities in developed countries. NamSU has links with several EU and Asian universities such as Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences (Norway), Stokholm university (Sweden), Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Dresden (Germany), Magdeburg university (Germany), Varna Technical University (Bulgaria), Holon technological Institute (Israel), Incheon University (South Korea), Malaya University (Malaysia. Our relationship consists of student and teaching staff exchanges, teacher training, knowledge transfer, scientific and academic collaboration. Department of German Language has active collaboration within the DAAD program of Germany and good links with Goethe Institute.

The department of English Language has actively participating in international events and it has good links with British Council and universities in USA. Several multimedia classrooms are in use by students. The continuous collaboration in the field of translation theory with leading universities are going on. Korean KOICA foundation supports to develop the teaching Korean language at the university The scientific researches done by scholars in NamSU are conformed with priorities of economic and social developments of the country. There are 4 fundamental, 2 applied, 3 innovative projects are going on under the State scientific-technical program. Much attention paid to support the gifted students at our university. As a result, 50 of them are awardees in academic Olympiads in the country and international levels. Namangan State University currently exists 23 innovational groups involving 78 teaching staff. The Problematic topics database is created which contains 138 research themes. These themes are directed to 2 Post-doctoral researches, 37 PhD researches, 16 master theses, 112 bachelor degree graduation papers. The outcomes of those researches are planned to apply in small and medium size business and industry. The university chairs have 9 economic agreements with private and industry sectors which are ongoing collaborative researches. Therefore, the applicability of theoretical research outcomes in industry is prioritized. The flow of extra-incomes from private and industrial sector to the university are also increasing yearly. Overview the Namangan city with the location of NamSU Role of NamSU in TuCAHEA project NamSU is a core-group member in TuCAHEA project and acts as a national coordinator from Uzbekistan. Major activities are expected to hold in Namangan as well as in other provincial parts of the country to extend the dissemination opportunities. Within the project NamSU can implement the followings: - Developing e-textbooks and handbooks for effective training of teaching staff and students to enhance the comprehensive knowledge and skills in quality issues, quality assurance and management, - Provision and organizing the trainings, seminars and workshops for teaching and administrative staff as well as students, - Working towards the project objectives and monitoring the implementation processes within the university, - Continuous conducting research surveys to enrich the quality assurance system development within the university. - Dissemination the project skills and outcomes to enlarged group of teaching and administrative staff, as well as postgraduate students

Currently he is working as a head of the international relations department same time he is finalizing his PhD dissertation on Quality issues in higher management: benchmarking methodology for defense. He studied in PhD course, Education Faculty, University of Malaya, in Malaysia. He and at the education for 3 years has study experiences in abroad more than 20 countries. She active participates in PRESETT project funded by British Council. Murodkhon Kodirkhonov Vice-Rector for Science Contact details: mobile: +998 94 1531040 Email: kodirkhonov@mail.ru Dr. Khodirkhonov is one of the prominent scientists and lecturers in chemistry at the university. He has good experiences working on international projects and innovational technologies. He has teaching experiences at the universities in Germany, Portugal, and Latvia. He is quite keen to improve the teaching methods by using the IT equipments, multimedia and new pedagogic innovative technologies. He will be responsible organization the measures and training within the project framework. Currently he is Vice-Rector for scientific affairs at the University. Mr. Tajobaev has more than 10 year teaching experiences in higher education. Currently he is conducting research on English teaching methodology for Uzbek students. He will act as an administrator within the project and will be responsible for ongoing project objective implementations and trainings. He will contribute to use the optimally the project resources and effective teaching process. Recently he has been in training course in Multimedia college, Malaysia. Note: The team member may be changed on ad hoc based according to needs for expertise and other specialist teaching staff who can fulfill the project tasks.
