Who We Are SEDL is a nonprofit educa6on research, development, and dissemina6on organiza6on based in Aus6n, Texas. SEDL s mission is to strengthen the connec6ons among research, policy, and prac6ce in order to improve outcomes for all learners.
Technical assistance including expert consulta6ons, professional development, and provision of informa6on resources using a variety of media and delivery formats has been a core SEDL func6on since our incep6on in 1966.
SEDL s Na6onal Center for Quality AKerschool SEDL has been a na6onal leader in the field of akerschool since the incep6on of the 21 st Century Community Learning Centers. SEDL led the Na6onal Partnership for Quality AKerschool Learning, which developed evidence- based materials and provided technical assistance and training for state and local 21 st CCLC programs.
