FAITH / REASON / JUSTICE: QUOTES FROM THE CLASS OF 013 I am currently participating in the Young Adult Volunteer (YAV) program serving the Presbyterian Church (USA) in New Orleans, Louisiana for the year I love it! Working full-time in a position that combines everything I wanted in a job - traveling, writing, PR, social media and excellent co-workers. My internships, which I found through Eastern's job posting website, helped me to secure my current post-grad position. I moved to Kirksville, MO, in December for a television news reporting job at KTVO- TV This is just the beginning of my career and I cannot wait to see what the Lord has in store for the future. The internship I had in college as an intern for an inner city kids summer camp turned into a full time position with that organization. I manage the volunteers for weekly ministries such as food and clothing distribution, after school programs and youth Bible studies at this point in my life, this is my dream job!

I am coaching Division 1 baseball and it is going great. We travel a lot so I am getting to see some places that I would never see if I did not have this job. I look to continue coaching and make a career out of it! Currently, I'm working as an Investment Professional at Vanguard, an international investment management company. Thus far, the experience has been great. I currently work at Bryn Mawr Hospital as a nurse resident. It has been a wonderful experience so far. Having had the externship my senior year at Eastern definitely helped me secure a job upon graduation. I'm currently getting my Masters degree at Temple University, and it is going very well. [EU Talent and Career Development] was so helpful in guiding me to where I wanted to be. I am in a challenging and rewarding job working with youth with mental health diagnoses to help them be more independent. I couldn't ask for a better first job out of college. I am a missionary resident supervisor at Alaska Christian College. It is best described as a hybrid between an RA and an RD. The mission of the college is the reach out to Alaskan Natives, and almost every student who attends ACC is native. I have fallen in love with the people and their culture, and they have welcomed me into their family with open arms. I love the charter school I am working at and plan to apply to a full-time teaching fellowship position for this upcoming year. I learned a lot while student teaching and am continuing to learn a lot in the position I am in regarding classroom management, conflict resolution, and overall organizational skills. I am very supported by the fellow staff and it is a positive, upbeat environment. "I'm working part-time as a Therapeutic Staff Support with children with autism while I pursue my Master's in clinical-counseling psychology. I love my job and the program I'm in." I am finishing my first year in Arcadia's Physician Assistant program. It is challenging, yet I feel very well prepared from my education at EU and I am ready to begin my rotational year starting this summer. I have a solid job on Wall Street with Carl Fischer doing what I love. Eastern gave me a solid foundation to achieve this and I'm very grateful for all the experience I was able to glean from the Music Department and Eastern as a whole.
