VAT COMPLIANCE DIPLOMA The professions and commerce are aware that VAT needs to be considered along with the other mainstream taxes and as a consequence of this they need to ensure that their staff are trained in VAT. To meet this need, the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) offers a qualification the VAT Compliance Diploma which was originally introduced by the Institute of Indirect Taxation (IIT) in 2006, before its subsequent merger with the CIOT. There will be many benefits arising from study and success in the Diploma, both to the employer and the individual. It will ensure that staff are properly trained in VAT Compliance work. By passing the examination they will be eligible to receive a VAT Compliance Diploma, which will evidence that they have attained the required level of competence. Anyone who decides to undertake the Diploma must register with both the ATT and Tolley Exam Training with the ATT as a Diploma student and with Tolley Exam Training who will provide the required training. Please note that you do not need to register as a full ATT student (as this is only necessary for the taxation technician examinations), you only need to register as a Diploma student. In the following pages you will find the Registration form, details of registering, the payment options form and other information you will find of interest. Please note that if you are an existing Diploma holder and you were entitled by the IIT to use the letters IIT (DIP) after your name, you are able to continue to use these letters provided your Diploma certificate is up to date.
