Teaching English reading skills including vocabulary development, grammatical structures, 'skim and scan' reading, comprehension and contextual use of vocabulary. Teaching writing skills from the elementary level to the intermediate and advanced levels including paragraphs and essays leading to advanced research courses involving data collection, forming questionnaires and conducting interviews. This leads to an advanced writing course which is research based. CO-CURRICULAR AND COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES: Convenor, Faculty Seminar Forum, 2010-2011. The faculty forum arranged seminars and workshops in both semesters of this year on a variety of topics, including interdisciplinary studies. Was a member of the Conference Committee of the 2 nd International Conference of Language, Linguistics, Literature and Translation held at SQU in March 2010. I was instrumental in arranging for plenary speakers as well as co-ordinating the publication of the various conference pamplelts. Involved with the text book selection committee and the faculty seminar forum. This involves the scheduling of seminars by faculty members, arranging round table forums, dramatic readings and other faculty presentations.
