Teacher will record in a daily log English Teacher I notice that she [Anna] often writes notes instead of listening to the class activities. Last week the class was supposed to be working on their short essays and I noticed Anna writing notes instead of working on her essay. When I came by to check she covered up what she was writing, although I did catch a glance of the phrase, "clases gringas. In group work, no one really asked Anna her opinion until I prod them. She contributes sound and excellent comments although not much detail. Perhaps her social skills in this environment prevented her from participating more than her cognitive development or her English skills.
