Major Flow Chart: A four year plan which shows the prerequisites for courses in your degree plan. The solid lines show a prerequisite for the course and a dotted line shows a co-requisite for the course. To take Math 152 you must complete MATH 151 as indicated by the solid arrow. To take PHYS 218 you must be concurrently enrolled in MATH 151 as indicated by the dotted arrow. Some flow charts will contain the number of credits for the indicated course on the upper left hand corner and classification prerequisites on the upper right hand corner. See the footnotes on your flow chart for meaning of colors and or symbols. 2. Major Core Curriculum Sheet: Contains the Texas Common Core Curriculum and TAMU graduation requirements. It lists the course options for the core on the right and the courses you are required to take for your major on the left. If the left hand side has blank boxes, you have the option of choosing from the list. Here, you must take ENGL 10 as a communications course and then you must choose from the options on the right for your remaining credits.. Major Elective Sheet: Contains a list of directed electives for your major.. Undergraduate Degree Planner Error Sheet: Includes a list of known errors that you will encounter when using the degree planner for your specific major.

MARA Degree Planner Errors Error Example Action In your Degree Evaluation Tab: Red bars and not met means you have not planned all of the courses necessary to earn your degree. Add all missing courses to your plan. You can check if you have everything by toggling between the Edit Plan and the Degree Evaluation tabs. Everything should read green and yellow. In your Edit Plan Tab: If you add courses that do not exist or that have prerequisites, you will see a message that identifies the courses with errors Check for prerequisites in the PreReq Check tab. Add required prereqs to plan. An error symbol next to the total hours for the semester, it is because the maximum credit hours allowed per semester is 19 Move courses to other semesters. Ensure no more than 19 credits per semester. A balanced schedule is usually between 1-17 credits. A symbol next to a course you planned indicates that course is not historically offered in the semester in which it was placed. Move course to another semester. Or if you plan to take the course at another institution, select the transfer box. If you have problems or questions, please email acen@tamug.edu.
