ACADEMIC LIFE Your Teachers Our teachers are central to you and your success. All attend training courses and modernise their skills regularly. They are encouraged to develop their special areas of interest, making the teaching lively and stimulating. All have professional teaching well as their ability. Your Classes Based on your online placement test and an oral interview (conducted on your arrival at the school), you will be placed in an appropriate class for your language level. If you are unable to complete the online placement test, one will be organised on your arrival at the school. All classes are lively and stimulating, you will cover all aspects of grammar, vocabulary, listening and reading comprehension, writing, discussions, idiomatic language and pronunciation. If you are taking our Intensive English Course which includes one-to-one tutorials, a detailed needs analysis must be completed before you arrive in order for your tutor to plan specialised lessons for either your academic study, examinations or professional needs. In-class materials: You can buy or rent your course book for a small charge. Your teacher will supplement your course book with materials from other sources, including authentic material from newspapers, TV, etc. Your Progress Our students progress is continuously monitored that they receive the correct level of instruction at all times. We encourage students to discuss their programme with the Academic Manager and their teachers. As students show improvement in their language ability they will be placed in ever more challenging classes appropriate to their level.

ADULT GROUPS Students may be integrated fully into our international General English classes or be in closed groups with students. The course covers all four skills - listening, speaking, reading and writing. For Student aged 16 and over. On completion of the course each student is presented with (international class students). Students will be placed with host families or residential accommodation within a very short bus journey or short walking distance to the school. This programme is generally from 1 to 4 weeks in duration.

ACTIVITIES & EXCURSIONS we a wide variety of activities and excursions, from amazing scenery with mountains stretching to the sea to traditional Irish Pubs, theatre nights, drama classes, shopping and sports activities like golf, rugby and horse riding. The school is only 40 minutes away from one of the most vibrant European capital cities, Dublin. Typical weekly activities at The School Monday: Traditional Music and Dance Katie Gallagher s pub, which is situated on Bray seafront beside the DART station, is where students can experience live Irish music sessions, ranging from traditional and folk songs to ballads and Irish dancing. Starting at 21:30, to get a good seat you should arrive early! Tuesday: Conversation Classes Wednesday: Movie of the week Veronica Guerin: Based on a true story, this is about the Irish journalist Veronica Guerin (Cate Blanchett), a reporter for The Sunday Independent, who exposed some of Dublin s most powerful crime barons and drug lords in 1996. But later that year she was gunned down by assassins hired by the same criminal drug lords she exposed. Thursday: Kilmainham Jail One of the largest unoccupied jails in Europe, covering some of the most heroic and tragic events in Ireland s emergence as a modern nation from 1780s to the 1920s. Attractions include a major exhibition detailing the political and penal history of the prison and its restoration. The tour of the prison includes an audio-visual show. Friday: Conversation Practice Traditional Music and Dance - Céilí At Craobh Chualann (Comhaltas) which is situated at 32 Belgrave Square, Monkstown, County Dublin - the home of Traditional Irish Music. Students can experience live Irish music sessions, ranging from traditional and folk songs to ballads and Irish dancing. Starting at 21:30, to get a good seat you should arrive early!
