Camp Jenny 2018 - Teen Application Please read the instructions VERY carefully! Your online application must be submitted by January 8, 2018 at 5pm. Your poster must be received in the NFTY-STR Regional Office by January 8, 2018. Late applications and posters will not be accepted. Once you start the application, you must complete it - it can't be saved. If you have questions about the application process, please visit http://campjenny.nfty.org/faq. STEP 1: Read & Sign - Camp Jenny campers (K 5th grade) will be divided into three units Juniors, Tweens, and Pioneers based on age and grade. - The kids coming to Camp Jenny are from Atlanta and attend F.L. Stanton Elementary School. - Camp Jenny is funded by money youth groups raise during the year. Sending one child to camp costs approximately $550. - Teen staff are expected to help fundraise for Camp Jenny and raise at least $200. Please review the list of teen staff positions by clicking here. You may apply for multiple staff positions, and can indicate your first choice. Please keep in mind requests for positions will be considered but may not be granted. If you apply for more than one leadership position (senior counselor/specialist, unit head, head specialist), you will need to answer the additional question(s) and scenario(s) for ALL of the leadership positions you're applying for, regardless of which is your preferred position. Camp Jenny staff will need to arrive at either the Atlanta Airport by 2:00 PM or Camp Coleman by 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 24, 2018. Departures by car must be made after 3:00 PM or flights scheduled for after 7:00 PM on Monday, May 28, 2018. (May 23-28 28 if a unit head or head specialist, same times). Camp Jenny is unable to accommodate staff needing to arrive or depart outside of these times. I have read and understand the information in Step 1: NFTYite Electronic Signature: * STEP 2: Read & Sign APPLICATION INFORMATION - Applications must be submitted online by 5pm on January 8, 2018. The only portion of the application that is to be mailed is the poster. The poster must be sent to the NFTY-STR Regional Office and received by January 8, 2018. - Applicants are allowed to process/brainstorm with advisors, mentors, clergy, etc... but the actual responses on your application need to be your own.

- Applicants should be sure that identifying information is limited only to the "Applicant Personal Information" section of the application. There should be NO identifying information in any part of the rest of the application or on the poster. This includes your name, congregation, youth group, or identifiable positions or experiences (i.e. last year I was the Tweens Unit Head ). - Your applications will be evaluated on a number of criteria, including but not limited to: overall creative and sincere responses, activity on a local and/or regional basis with positive attitude, your poster, and performance at a previous Camp Jenny. - Applications are judged solely on their own merit. They are evaluated blind (without any identifying information) by the Camp Jenny co-directors and are ranked on a point system. There are typically 200+ applications for approximately 120 available staff positions. A final determination of staff members will be made by the end of January 2018 and notifications will be sent out via email at that time.
