ORGANIZATIONAL HISTORY The Office of News and Publications (before 993 called the Office of Medical Information; the name changed to University News Bureau in September 20; the office is now known as Communications, Marketing, and Public Affairs) was the UT Southwestern department responsible for () relations with the media and (2) preparation and distribution of the campus newspaper Center Times, Southwestern Medicine annual report, and other campus publications. The staff included a photographer who recorded notable campus events, with many of the photos being used in campus publications. SCOPE AND CONTENT The collection consists of print, photographic, and audiovisual materials created and collected by the UT Southwestern Office of News & Publications. News & Publications Slides/Negatives/Brochures Series Note: This series contains 35mm slides documenting UT Southwestern s built environment, its people, and special events on campus. Also included are campus aerials and photos of Exchange Park. There are photographic negatives and contact sheets that were produced for the 990 Faculty Photo Directory and the Graduate School and School of Allied Health Sciences catalogs.
