Savory Associate Vice Provost From: Thomas Coggins Associate Director RE: Report of Sponsored Program Activity for May 2000 Date: June 12, 2000 The University received awards totaling $8.5 million during the month, a 16% increase over last May. Through eleven months of the fiscal year, award dollars are 19% ahead of last year, $99.2 million vs. $83.4 million. During May, faculty submitted 142 proposals requesting $20.7 million. Thus far in the fiscal year, SPAR has processed 1471 proposals requesting $186.9 million, a significant increase over last year s totals of 1293 and $129 million. cc: K. McCoy
