The Bournemouth School of English The Bournemouth School of English is an independent English language school located in the heart of Bournemouth. Founded in 1985, our school prides itself on offering a personal and tailor-made approach to learning English. Our school directors, Mark (Principal) and Emma (Director of Studies), who took over the school in 2002, have a hands-on approach to ensure that we provide only the highest standard of education within a safe, familiar, comfortable environment. We are a British Council accredited school and a member of EnglishUK. The Bournemouth School of English is also a registered MAX6 Centre of Excellence.

It is the family atmosphere that makes The Bournemouth School of English so different from other schools, with all the staff committed to making your time here a positive one. - Matt (Welfare Officer & Teacher) Why choose our school? Our students are individuals, not numbers. We have a maximum of 130 students so that we can focus on your individual needs and get to know each student personally. We are proud of our friendly yet professional atmosphere where our students feel relaxed and comfortable. We offer courses that are perfect for students looking for flexibility whilst studying, as we give you the option to choose exactly how many hours you study a week. Our teachers are friendly and approachable. The students have regular tutorials where they can talk one-to-one with their teacher to discuss their progress. The average class size is 8 students, to ensure that you receive the personal attention you deserve. What really makes us stand-out from other schools is our diverse mix of students. The proportion of students from any one nationality rarely exceeds 10%, so you always have plenty of opportunities to practise your English.

Bournemouth A beautiful seaside resort on the south coast of England. The beautiful town of Bournemouth boasts over 7 miles of golden sandy beaches and is renowned for being a cosmopolitan town with an international student population and a vibrant social scene. Located approximately 2 hours from London, Bournemouth offers excellent transport links to cities, towns and the English countryside. We are located just a short walk from the town centre of Bournemouth and only a 10 minute stroll to the beach. In the summer you can enjoy your lunch in the beautiful gardens in town with friends. Bournemouth offers plenty to do in your free-time including a variety of shops, restaurants, bars, cinemas and even the famous Bournemouth hot-air balloon, which offers spectacular panoramic views!
