Eric Jolivet Senior Lecturer Head of Strategy Department This training programme is distinguished by four key points: A general view of business management and business culture A variety of teaching methods using conceptual tools with practical implementation Involvement of experienced professionals in the field Solid training in strategic and competitive analysis as well as business development ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS FIRST YEAR (M1) ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS Students who hold a degree in management have automatic acceptance to the programme. Fourth year students of INSA and ISAE-SUPAERO are eligible as part of a partnership agreement. Following an examination of their academic records, students holding a bachelors or equivalent degree (180 credits) are eligible, as are students who have completed high school + three years of related higher study. SECOND YEAR (M2) ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS TWO SPECIALISATIONS ARE OFFERED IN THE SECOND YEAR (M2): Innovation Management Business Development Applicants who earned 60 credits from the first year of the Masters in Strategic Management, who meet specific conditions upon evaluation in addition to a review of their dossier, are eligible. Fourth year students of INSA and ISAE-SUPAERO are eligible as part of a partnership agreement. Students who have earned 60 credits from completing the first year of a Masters in Management, an engineering diploma, a business school degree, or any other equivalent degree, are eligible pending an examination of their dossier. Doctoral Programme Students wishing to pursue a PhD are required to apply for the Master of Science in Strategy, which comprises the first year of the Doctoral Programme. 6
1 IN STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT 2 PROGRAMME: INNOVATION MANAGEMENT IN STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT «The educational approach of the programme combines courses and exercises, but also many group projects. This rigorous approach enables students to acquire, in addition to technical knowledge, two life skills essential for all young professionals: the ability to form independent analysis, and the talent to present it clearly. The first year (M1) introduces the fundamentals of management, an approach to key issues related to strategic decisions of the company, as well as a professional simulation. Students learn the main methods of strategic analysis. At the end of the year, they have to present and defend a business plan, which gives them an opportunity to apply all of the techniques learned throughout their many lessons. The second year of the Masters in Innovation Internship Report/Oral Defense Management explains the various methods and management tools through simulation exercises in groups consisting of both managers and engineers. STUDENT LIFE The students union is the entry portal to a wide variety of recreational and humanitarian activities with 5 clubs dedicated to sports (BDS), food tasting (Palais des Saveurs), oenology (Dis Vin), performing arts and humanitarian initiatives (Pôle humanitaire). Each club team schedules events throughout the academic year (IAE schools French Cup, cooking or winetasting classes, Telethon...). The students union is also in charge of the welcome week-end, yearly gala evening and monthly extra-curricular Wednesday happy hour. Since its creation in 2007, the IAE Junior Conseil association has been managed by students and has worked for economic partners including IAE graduates. Its board members are elected every year. The association has selected four areas of interest: association management, communication, business and administration. It works in various fields and offers business consulting services carried out by the project leaders. It has established solid partnerships with Junior INSA Services, Société Générale, RBMG, consulting, Coach Consulting... And is currently expanding its network. It gained the status of Junior Enterprise in November 2014 and is proud to invite you to join this dynamic venture highly praised by Toulouse businesses, which is a major asset for students to approach the professional environment. ALUMNI NETWORK The Alumni Network consists of more than 19,000 men and women representing a multitude of management professions in over 70 countries.this network is strengthened by its commitment to expertise, sharing and mutual assistance among junior and senior graduates thanks to a great communication and exchange tool: IAE Link (link.iae-toulouse.fr).
