Tech. programmes of National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli under DASA SCHEME FOR THE YEAR 2017-2018 are requested to report at the institute for Registration and Hostel allotment as per the schedule given below. 1. Reporting details (B.Tech.) Reporting period : July 21 to 25, 2017 Time : 10.00 AM to 4.30 PM Venue : Lecture Hall Complex 2. Documents to be brought by the candidate at the time of admission The Originals of the following documents have to be brought at the time of reporting for admission: i. Print out of reporting form taken from online portal http://misreg.nitt.edu:8080/studentreg/ ii. Downloaded copy of Provisional Allotment letter iii. Name & Date of Birth Certificate (X Class Certificate) iv. Marks card / Grade card of Qualifying Examinations ( XII Class or Equivalent) (If a Board awards only letter grades without providing an equivalent percentage of marks/cgpa on the grade sheet, the candidate should obtain a 1
certificate from the Board specifying the equivalent marks/cgpa and submit it at the time of reporting for admission.) v. Transfer Certificate issued from the school last attended vi. vii. viii. ix. Study & Character Certificate from the school last attended Candidate s Passport(s) (Recent and expired) Proof for PIO/OCI (if applicable) Medical Certificate on physical fitness and HIV free can be obtained from a reputed medical lab in India or home country (Refer Annexure) x. Size Photographs In addition to the above, the following certificates in original have to be produced by CIWG candidates a. Passport of the parent working in the gulf b. Parent s visa c. Parent s Work Permit (If any) d. Certificate from the company/organization as proof that parent is working in gulf country as per Appendix III of DASA 2017-UG Brochure. Note: One set of self-attested copies of each of the above certificates has to be produced at the time of admission. Candidates are advised to keep SCANNED COPY of all their original certificates and sufficient number of self-attested photo copies of all the certificates for their future use since the Original Certificates submitted to National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli will be retained in the Institute till the completion of the B.Tech. programme or till the withdrawal of admission. Candidate must be present in person along with parent / authorized guardian for taking admission at NIT Trichy. Admission in absentia (proxy) will not be allowed even on medical grounds. If the candidate does not report on the above mentioned date and time, his/her admission is likely to be cancelled. 3. Hostel Facilities: Separate Hostel facilities are available for boys and girls. ii. iii. Banking facility: State Bank of India (Branch Code: 1617) branch is functioning in NITT, Campus with ATM facilities. Location of the Institute: NIT-Trichy is located about 22 km from Tiruchirappalli Junction / Central Bus stand on the Trichy-Thanjavur Highway. Trichy is also well-connected to the other cities of Tamil Nadu, southern Karnataka and Kerala through Govt./Private buses. One can get buses from Trichy to almost any part of the state, due to its geographical location in the center of Tamil Nadu. The Central bus station runs long distance services to major cities of the State and South India such as Chennai, Madurai, Coimbatore, Bangalore, Erode, Thiruvananthapuram and Tirupathi. The simplest and most economical way to reach NIT-Trichy is by bus. Any city Bus at Tiruchirapalli Junction will take you to the central bus stand. To reach NIT, Trichy, kindly board Thanjavur bound mofosil or route bus. The journey time from Trichy will be around 40 minutes. The executive way of reaching NIT-Trichy will be hiring a taxi. Taxis may charge around Rs.500/-. Tiruchirappalli is an important junction on the Southern Railway. It connects Chennai, Thanjavur, Madurai, Tirupati, Rameswaram, Bengaluru, Coimbatore, Kolkata, Jammu, New Delhi, Cochin and Mangalore. It has an international airport, and is connected with Chennai, Dubai, Sharjah, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Colombo.
