You will pick a security tool or topic to talk about (related to intrusion detection) and demonstrate in class. A good start for ideas is sectools.org and this course s content (naturally). We will spend a good amount of time in class doing lab work and this experience will get you a feel for what is expected of you. There will be two days allocated for presentations (we have 20 students and we will use Nov 23 rd as a first group and Nov 30 th as a second group). As a deliverable I expect a PowerPoint presentation or a Word Document or a video recording. I will show you samples of previous presentations. The goal is to have all of your projects zipped up and I will share them so that you have something you can take with you. More on this later. The anonymous results of the survey will be made available to your professors and division chairs for continual improvement of instruction. Look for the survey as part of the Houston Community College Student System online near the end of the term. 1. 2.
