HIGHLANDS FAMILY, On behalf of Pastor Chris Hodges, I am thrilled to announce that the MOTION Student Conference will again take over the Birmingham- Jefferson Convention Complex on July 31 - August 2 for a weekend full of powerful worship, dynamic messages, and intentional discipleship for junior high, high school, and college students! MOTION conference is the cornerstone of our student ministry at Highlands. It is an experience that serves as a catalyst for students to jump into small groups, leadership, and most importantly, God s vision for their lives! At this year s conference, we will ask the question, What Moves You? Throughout the weekend, we will take students on a journey of spiritual discovery built on the truth of Ephesians 2:10, For we are God s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. I know every student will leave with a God-given vision and focus for their lives it is going to be incredible! Our team is dedicated to providing a world-class event for your student that is not only powerful and life-changing, but also safe and secure. We have done our best to provide you with all the information you will need in this packet to make your plans for MOTION 2014, but please don t hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions or if we can assist you in any way. This year s conference will be the best ever, so make plans now to be a part! It is such an honor to serve you and your family!

TESTIMONIES MOTION has been such a blessing to my family. Each day my girls came home singing and talking about what they were learning. It was truly a life-changing experience for them and through MOTION they are learning how to change the world! - Christine, Parent MOTION Conference is the highlight of my summer. While at MOTION, it is so encouraging to see so many students gathering to lift the name of Jesus together through worship. It helps me to realize that I am not alone, and that there are other people my age pursuing God. I always leave equipped, challenged, and refreshed going back into the school year. What I love most about MOTION is that the end of the conference is just the beginning of what God wants to do through my life. - Rebecca, Student, 18 MOTION is about going deeper in your relationship with God! Through MOTION, not only have I developed lasting friendships, but I have also learned practical tools to ignite my passion for Jesus every day. For me, MOTION is so much more than a conference; it s the fuel for a lifelong, exciting journey with Jesus. - Kaylyn, Student, 15 3

Last summer I experienced the MOTION Conference for the first time. Although I really enjoyed the speakers, music and community group sessions, I was most impacted by the fact that God has a plan for my life. MOTION has helped remind me that the decisions I make every day matter and that they will point me to God s will. - Mason, Student, 13 My wife & I attended an evening session of MOTION with our twin 16 year olds and two of their friends. It was a life-changing experience for us all. - Phillip, Parent MOTION is the perfect time right before school starts back to recharge, seek out my purpose, and grow. Seeing so many other students stand up for Christ has been such an encouragement for me to go back to my campus and stay close to Jesus. MOTION has created in me a desire and passion to lead other students to experience the same joy that I have found in my relationship with God. - Hilary, Student, 20 4
