The information provided, WILL be read by members of the selection committee and used to help decide the final group of students to invite to interviews. Students will be asked to write essay style responses to the following three prompts: 1. Describe one weakness or shortcoming that you have and explain how you strive to overcome it. 2. Describe a meaningful relationship with an adult in your life, explaining the significance of the relationship to your success. 3. Referencing the IB Learner Profile (provided on a separate sheet of paper), consider one of the following attributes; Inquirers, Principled, or Reflective. Write a thorough description how one of these attributes is evident in your life; provide concrete examples of what it looks like to others as they observe you day to day. These prompts are provided ahead of time in the application packet to enable students to think through their responses ahead of time. However, notes will not be accessible when they write their responses; a student s ability to communicate their responses authentically in writing will be considered important.

Enrolled students who decide not to attend East IB will be refunded their deposit if they notify the IB Office in writing no later than May 1, 2018 that they will not be attending East High IB.
