1P P year Registration on a PhD at INSA Lyon comprises two stages: 2017-2018 ACADEMIC YEAR FROM 17 JULY 2017 REGISTRATION ON THE 1 ST YEAR OF A PhD st PhD student Stage 1: Course registration with the doctoral school via the SIGED doctoral school information and management system. Stage 2: Administrative registration with INSA via the SCOLARX software. Your registration will be final and Uvalidated only upon completion of these two stagesu. Stage 1: Course registration with your graduate school via the SIGED platform (steps 1 to 4 in SIGED) - After obtaining approval from your PhD supervisor, contact your doctoral school to request a SIGED access code U(University of Lyon user name and password)u, providing a valid personal e-mail address. All information necessary for your connection to SIGED will be sent to this address. - Log in to the SIGED platform at https://siged.universite-lyon.fr, selecting INSA Lyon as the establishment and using the access code received by e-mail. - Create your student file online by filling in the information requested in order to begin your PhD course registration. Some tabs contain mandatory fields (indicated by an asterisk). These are the following: Personal information / Curriculum / Thesis / Funding. Check the website of your doctoral school to find all the information necessary for course registration. - When you have finished entering all the information necessary for your course registration, you can submit your application to the doctoral school by clicking on "Submit my request" displayed in white lettering on the right of the screen. Note that if you place the cursor on the "Submit my request" button when it is displayed in black, the system tells you which tabs to complete. - SIGED allows the electronic validation of your student file by your PhD Supervisor, your Laboratory Director and the Director of your doctoral school. You can follow the progress of these validations in SIGED by regularly consulting your student file in the "Registrations" tab. 1
Stage 2: Administrative registration at INSA Lyon (steps 5 + 6 in SIGED + administrative registration process at INSA) Once your course registration has been completed and validated in SIGED by your PhD Supervisor, your Laboratory Director and the Director of your doctoral school (Uvalidation status 5/6U), and Uby the Director of the Department of Doctoral Education (FEDORA)U (Uvalidation status 6/6U), you can proceed with your administrative registration with the INSA Lyon Admissions Office. You will have to provide a certain number of documents at this stage. * REGISTRATION APPLICATION: The following documents can be downloaded from SIGED. They are accessible via a link to the right of the screen under the heading "D1 INSA Lyon News": - INSA Lyon IT Charter / University of Lyon thesis Charter and specific provisions when registering for a PhD at INSA Lyon / CIL Document (data protection) / SISE Form / Language training / Doctoral School Speciality / Codes Note membership Social Security. * DOCUMENTS TO BE PROVIDED: Documents 1 to 10 must be uploaded in SIGED under the "Additional Documents" tab, duly completed and signed as appropriate. 1. * Photocopy of birth certificate translated into French, English or Spanish. * Photocopy of passport and visa for foreign students. * Photocopy of national identity card or passport for French nationals. 2. Proof of funding in French or English (photocopy of the employment contract or proof of scholarship). UThis proof must specify the amount and duration of the funding. URegistration on a PhD at INSA Lyon is subject to proof of financial resources equivalent to at least the net minimum wage for at least the first 3 years of registration on the PhD (in accordance with the University of Lyon Thesis Charter and its INSA Lyon amendment). The contract or contracts must be signed by all parties. If at the time of registration you have not yet received your employment contract or other proof of funding, you must provide an affidavit from your Laboratory Director certifying that you have obtained funding and specifying the amount and duration. When you receive your contract or confirmation of your scholarship, you will then upload a copy in SIGED under the "Funding" tab. 3. Certificate of civil liability (insurance that covers damage caused to another person). This can be taken out with a private insurance company. 4. Charte des thèses, duly signed. 5. Charte informatique de l INSA, duly signed. 6. SISE Form. 7. CIL Document. 8. Doctoral School Discipline Codes. 9. P year, P year, COTUTELLE PhD STUDENTS Document to also be uploaded in SIGED under "Additional Documents" If you are registering on a PhD within the framework of a cotutelle (joint supervision) programme, please provide a copy of your agreement upon registration, even if it is incomplete, as well as a certificate Uin French or EnglishU from the partner university st nd stating the year of registration (e.g., 1P 2P etc.). UFINAL STAGE ADMINISTRATIVE REGISTRATION WITH THE ADMISSIONS OFFICE UYou can complete your administrative registration in person at the Admissions Office:U 1 - Validation in SIGED of Steps 1/6 to 6/6 duly completed. 2 - Printing and submission of the documents listed in blue. Please note that you can complete your registration by post. In this case, you will need to provide an ID photo and an envelope with your home address, as well as your contact information should the Admissions Office need to get in touch with you. After checking that your administrative registration is complete and your fees paid, your registration will be validated in SIGED. Upon completion of this process, you will be given your registration certificate, your student card and your computer account details, or these documents will be sent to you in the event of registration by post. CALCULATING MY UNIVERSITY FEES EXEMPTION FROM REGISTRATION FEES SITUATION CSC scholarship within the framework of the UT-INSA Co-operation Programme International joint supervision (cotutelle): in the cases provided for under a specific framework agreement between the establishments concerned. French Government scholarship holder, on presentation of the certificate indicating the status of the PhD student as a scholarship holder and thus exempt. SOCIAL SECURITY SITUATION No affiliation if and only if the PhD student works, between 01/09/2017 and 31/08/2018, more than 150 hours per quarter. Any PhD student who does not fall into this category and who is under 28 years of age must pay student social security contributions. Students who are married, living with their partner, or who have signed a civil solidarity pact: If the spouse or partner is a student, the PhD student is required to pay these contributions. If the spouse or partner is an employee, the PhD student is covered by the former's social security scheme. Include a photocopy of the spouse's or partner's social security coverage. Students who are citizens of a member state of the European Union: Include a photocopy of the European social security card. Foreign students outside the EEA and Switzerland: compulsory affiliation and payment of the contributions. Students whose parents are SNCF employees: the student remains covered by his/her parents' social security until the age of 28. 5
