ARTE GLOBALE BOOTH 4.5 GROUND FLOOR SAATCHI GALLERY START ART FAIR 15 18 SEPTEMBER 2016 14 SEPTEMBER VIP PREVIEW

ARTE GLOBALE, the gallery of the world, represents a considered international portfolio of contemporary artists and offers independent expert advice for new and established collectors alike.

We have curated for the Saatchi Gallery a selective group exhibition of seven handpicked exceptional international artists, working in a variety of practices whose works transcend boundaries of language and culture. We believe that when art is born global, it becomes imbued with an intangible universal sensibility that enables it to be appreciated globally.

For our booth 4.5 at Start Art Fair 2016 we have strictly sourced aesthetically valuable works that speak a global language.

Our exhibiting artists: Mariana Bersten (Argentina), Zhanna Bobrakova (Russia), Iabo (Italy), Domenico Ludovico (Italy), Zadoc Nava (United Kingdom), Emanuela Santini (Croatia), Erin Solomons (United States) experiment with photography, painting and sculpture in different way. They have created highest quality works, whist juxtaposing and debating concepts about cultural and gender diversity, media, technology and contemporary philosophy.

It is with great pleasure we invite you to be among the visitors to this exciting collection and view the amazing work pieces available for purchase.

Mariana Bersten Mariana Bersten's photographs are particularly attentive to the underlying female narrative. Mariana Bersten (lives/works in Buenos Aires) began her career as a photographer in New York, where she studied at the International Centre of Photography and the Empire State College before moving back to her Argentinian home-city. During those 11 years in New York, Mariana refined her exquisite technique working for prominent photographers such as David LaChapelle. Among Mariana's numerous awards is a first prize from the New York State Museum. Zhanna Bobrakova Zhanna Bobrakova (Moscow) is Russian contemporary artist. She graduate of Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design in London with a degree of Masters of Arts in Photography (2015) In her art practice Zhanna merges art with modern philosophy. She works across the concepts of replication, repetition, rhythm and simulation. Bobrakova s installation My Name Is Legion was selected for the Festival of Visual Arts in Soho, London in the summer of 2015 and her prints were selected by the Tate Modern. Iabo Powerful, seductive and fluid Iabo's (Naples) hyper-pop paintings are a unique expression of today's contradictions and tensions. Clear, irreverent, ironic is work merge tradition and the contemporary me in a Neapolitan background where all is connected fluidly. Iabo appropriates the semiotics of branding and the sleek language of advertising to infer troubling relationships that may lurk beneath the urban fabric. His work represented Italy at the 54 Venice Biennale in 2012. Domenico Ludovico Domenico Ludovico (Lucca, Tuscany, Academy of Fine Art in Carrara, MA) is a sculptor interested in this process of discovery. He moulds, remodels and experiments, existential figures to emerge from the material. Ludovico s works with recycle pieces initiating an art historical conversation between the past and the present, deploying both traditional methods and state of the art technology.

Zadoc Nava Photographer-filmmaker Zadoc Nava s (London) work explores the politics of identity, displacing the viewer in the urban crowd. His work is about cultural diversity a dynamic collision of cultures, colors and tensions. Starting out as a director for major broadcasters Zadoc Nava has won numerous awards for his independently produced short films. His series Shadowlands (2011) brought to the western audience a poignant depiction of Teheran communities. Emmanuela Santini The photographs of Emanuela Santini tell us something about the human condition. Drawing on theories from psychology, the artist channels her memories in order to make sense of the present. Embroidering her past onto fabric, Santini references the concept of Bibliotherapy and the psychological process of reading. Emanuela Santini (Pula-London) is a London-based Croatian artist, with an MA in Fine Art: Drawing at University of the Arts London in 2008, her works are in the permanent collection of the museum of contemporary Art of Rijeka. Erin Solomons Erin Solomon s photographs the American West, seeking out those scarred features of this harsh, excavated landscape that could be said to metaphorically embody a human presence. Erin Solomon (Savanna,USA -London) was born and raised in the American South. With a BA from Goldsmiths College and an MA in Photography from the Royal College of Art, Erin Solomons won the 2016 Magnum award at Photo London.

ABOUT THE FAIR START is a platform that shines a spotlight on emerging artists and new art scenes. Organized by Parallel Contemporary Art and Saatchi Gallery, START takes place across all three floors of Saatchi Gallery and aims to enable collectors, curators, and the greater public to discover new artistic talent. The third edition of START will take place from 15 to 18 September 2016. START creates the best possible showcase for young galleries and new artists by providing an elegant environment with museum-quality spaces. In 2015, START featured 38 galleries from across 23 countries. Alongside the Fair, START also featured four high quality curatorial projects overwhelming critical acclaim by media and visitors alike. The fourth curatorial project, 'This Is Tomorrow', featured galleries from around the world presenting solo exhibitions of artists who represent the next generation of international artists or work with issues arising from today's globalised landscape.
