The committee members asked if ever the program will be accredited is there any possibility that students can move on to a four year university. Orlando said that he will try to create an articulation agreement with universities that are ACCE accredited. He mentioned that the biggest obstacle or problems for the students to transfer to university are classes that are offered at TCC are in the upper division in most universities such as Estimating and Construction Management classes. Universities are often will not agree to accept a lower division classes to replace an upper division classes. Mr. Carl Roegner and Mr. said that creating a seamless transition of the student from a community college to the university in terms of courses to be accepted has to be done in the state level since it involves the Texas Higher Education Board and Accreditation Agency. Mr. Nieto suggested the project management certification would be good credentials for aspiring project managers. Mr. suggested that CM Training is offered through the CMAA that will guide the candidate and earned the required experience prior to taking the exam.
