The Helsinki University Library (HULib) Largest multidisciplinary university library in Finland The science and faculty libraries of the University of Helsinki merged into the Helsinki University Library at the beginning of 2010 Comprises the City center, Kumpula, Meilahti and Viikki campus libraries as well as centralized services Library Director Kaisa Sinikara is the head of library and the four campus libraries have their own campus library directors Annual budget EUR 23 million, acquisition expenses EUR 4,7 million 260 employees

Meilahti Campus Library Terkko Employees at Terkko 32, about which 4 part-time-workers Campus libraries are responsible for providing library and information services in their particular disciplines Meilahti Campus Library Terkko serves students, teachers and researchers at the University of Helsinki, personnel of the Helsinki University Central Hospital (HUCH) and all those who need medical and health information Available to all visitors: Local collections of printed materials Lending services with university library card All electronic resources and services at the library premises ( walk in use of the library computers)

Terkko in brief Meilahti Campus Library Terkko Founded in 1965 as independent institute of the University of Helsinki (Medical Central Library) Opened to public on 2nd January 1966 at the premises of the Helsinki University Central Hospital New library building 1998 Part of the Faculty of Medicine 1999 2009 1999 Terkko and 14 clinical and department libraries were merged together (National Library of Health Sciences) Part of the Helsinki University Library (Independent institute of the University of Helsinki ) 2010 -> (Meilahti Campus Library Terkko)

Services at all campus libraries Lending service Interlibrary loans and document delivery service Publishing and digital repository services TUHTI publication database of the University of Helsinki. Libraries support in producing and maintaining HELDA the open digital repository of the University of Helsinki, which contains full-text materials produced by the Univeristy s researchers, such as researchers articles, theses, teaching materials. Library maintains HELDA
