We have a special opportunity to share with you. As an incoming EOP freshman at Binghamton University, you are the recipient of an EOP scholarship to attend the summer Binghamton Enrichment Program (BEP 2017). Here you will earn up to eight Binghamton University credits and two general education requirements toward your degree! Your scholarship covers the cost of your housing, meals, books, tuition and fees. While other students will pay over $5,000 to earn college credits during the summer, BEP 2017 is FREE to you! The program dates are Wednesday, July 5 Friday, August 4, 2017. We are going to jumpstart your college experience at Binghamton! To begin your journey on this fast-track and secure your space, please complete the following: Requirement #1: Register for the FREE EOP Orientation and Parent/Guardian Meeting. Choose ONE of the orientation dates and reserve your space online at eop.binghamton.edu 1. Saturday, June 3 rd Binghamton University, Old Union Hall, University Union 2. Friday, June 9 th, SUNY Welcome Center, 18th Floor, 33 West 42nd St 3. Saturday, June 10 th, SUNY Welcome Center, 18th Floor, 33 West 42nd St. *The EOP Orientation is the only orientation that you need to attend. Register online today! Requirement #2: College requires a lot of paper work. It is necessary to complete all forms to get you registered for your 8 credits this summer, and for your fall courses as well. Students must complete and submit the following: *BEP Emergency Contact and Parental Consent Form *Summer Food Service Program Form *Complete your immunization and medical history at myhealth.binghamton.edu (Your Dr. Signature is required on your medical history records) *Send your FINAL High School Transcript to Binghamton admissions (*signed with graduation date) Complete online, mail to office or bring completed forms to the EOP Orientation. DETAILS FOR REQUIREMENT #1: EOP ORIENTATION & PARENT/GUARDIAN MEETING A Believe us when we say, this program will make a great impact on your success at Binghamton University and beyond! It is mandatory for all new students to attend BEP 2017 from July 5 August 4, 2017 but first everyone must attend the EOP Orientation and Parent Meeting. We ask that at least one parent/guardian, or other family member attend with you. The orientation and BEP are REQUIRED if you plan to attend Binghamton University. Select which orientation you want to attend and register online to reserve your space at eop.binghamton.edu Options: 1. EOP students and parent/guardians will learn the details about the mandatory summer program (BEP 2017, July 5 th - August 4 th ) including course descriptions, on-campus housing information, safety and guidelines, academic advising, tours and more! 2. Every EOP student will take (1) Diagnostic Math Assessment. Scores will be used to help us place you in appropriate summer and fall courses. 3. Each EOP student will be introduced to their assigned EOP Counselor who will be their oneon-one contact for your entire Binghamton University enrollment. PLEASE BRING: a graded writing assignment (*paper that has been turned in for an assignment in high school) a pencil and a pen. DIRECTIONS TO SUNY WELCOME CENTER June 9 OR 10, 2017 33 WEST 42 nd STREET; 18 th Floor Travel by Train The B, D, F and M trains stop across the street at 42nd Street and Sixth Avenue. The 7 train stops at 42nd Street and Fifth Avenue (outside the front door of the New York Public Library). The A, C, E, N, Q, R, S, 1, 2 and 3 trains are one block west at Times Square. The 4, 5 and 6 trains are two blocks east at Grand Central Terminal. Travel by MTA bus The M42 (crosstown) and M104 (Upper West Side) stop nearby. Express commuter bus lines provide uptown service on Madison and Sixth Avenue and downtown service on Fifth Avenue. Travel by Car From the northwest (upstate New York), the New York Thruway (I-87 and I-287) leads to Manhattan s east and west sides. From the northeast (New England), the New England Thruway (I-95) also leads to the east and west sides. From the south (NJ, MD, etc.) the New Jersey Turnpike leads into the Holland Tunnel to lower Manhattan, or the Lincoln Tunnel to midtown Manhattan.

By Bus: Greyhound and Shortline/Coach USA and MegaBus all make stops in Binghamton, NY on a daily basis. Travel time is approximately 3 hours. Please check with the company for the schedule and departure times. *Once your bus arrives at the Binghamton Bus Depot/Travel Center, there is a Blue Binghamton University charter bus that will shuttle students and families to campus for free and back at the conclusion of the day.
