To learn French: One school in France Two towns, Paris and Dijon Many solutions 2016 brochure

Learn differently The École Suisse Internationale offers you: A quality teaching thanks to practical, innovative and creative teaching methods, A learning adapted to the objectives of each and facilitating autonomy. Progress is fast and this language acquisition runs on the long term. To learn a language, it is also discovering a culture. To learn French, it means to open ourselves to a new country and new people who use this language. This is why, in class, language and cultures are always handled in a complementary way. An exchange Our school is a member of a non-making profit organization which aims to exchange cultures and to share knowledge. All year round, we welcome anyone who wants to improve French for an academic, professional or personal goal. For a better efficiency, classrooms are limited to a maximum of 10 participants (apart from unusual situation) in Paris and 12 participants in Dijon. A team The École Suisse Internationale is composed of teachers and administrative staff, passionate by their work. They all put their professionalism at the service of the student s well-being and success. They are engaged to do all their best to satisfy you, either during the courses or for the different services that the school can offer. Why do you need to learn French? French is the first language learnt after English. More than 150 million of French speakers are scattered on 5 continents. 32 states have French for official language. French is the third language used on Internet. The UNO and UNESCO use French for working language among 5 others.

The École Suisse Internationale Our objective Rich of a long tradition, lasting for more than hundred years, of teaching and cultural exchanges, the École Suisse Internationale federates a team of professionals, all united in the same objective: make that every student progresses in French while appreciating at most experiences in the country. Our quality requirement touches therefore several domains: teaching, practice of the French language, cultural activities and well-being in general. So, our priority is to make every person more autonomous in French after the training in our center. Our institutes The École Suisse Internationale hosts students of different nationalities, mainly European, at least aged 16 (18 for our Parisian center) from 1 week to 6 months. In Paris, our building is located in the heart of the city, near the Sacred Heart and Montmartre, in a lively district of the capital. The closest subway is the station Poissonnière on line 7. The train stations gare de l Est (Switzerland, Germany, central and eastern Europe) and gare du Nord (UK, Belgium, Netherlands, CDG airport) are located 10 minutes walk from the school. In Dijon, our school is placed in a house of character walking distance from historical downtown. The Tram T1 is a direct line between the train station and the school. Dijon is only 1h40 from Paris by TGV, 1h25 from Basel and 2h00 from Paris CDG airport. Our institutes can welcome an average of 50 persons in Paris and 80 in Dijon. Each building has a breaking room and cultural information on each cities and region (Ile de France and Burgundy). The access to Internet is free and each edifice is equipped in Wi-Fi. Our pedagogy All contents of our courses are organized by taking into account: the Common European Framework of References for Languages established by the European Council, personal objectives of every student. So, programs are offered on 3 different levels: basic (A), intermediate (B), advanced (C). If, for a class, the number of participants is insufficient, the school reserves the right to regroup students compare to their skills.

Our teachers The whole team of teachers is taking care of students throughout the day. They are all native speakers and certified in the field of French as a foreign language. Besides general French, each has a specialty (written or oral French, theater, literature, professional French, etc.) which enriches even more the teaching. Our teachers often follow professional trainings in order to refresh and improve their class technic. Some of them also participated in the creation of manuals published in France, as well as teachers training in French as a second language. Our historical background The École Suisse Internationale is, in its totality, a part of the non-profit making organization, the Cercle Commercial Suisse, established more than hundred of years by some German-speaking Swizzes. They wanted indeed to increase their skills in the linguistic and commercial domain within the framework of an economic link between both countries. The school turns always out to have a wide success thanks to the quality of its teaching. Since the 90s, the institute has been opened on the international stage and offers the possibility to all to take advantage of its long experience. In 1995, a branch in Dijon, capital of Burgundy, was opened to welcome specific groups. Our quality references Today, the École Suisse Internationale is an institute recognized by the French authorities (the Paris Education Authority, the Chamber of Commerce of Paris) but also by its peers (Groupement FLE). Our requirements for quality and seriousness strengthened and will always stay one of our priorities. The whole functioning of the school (teaching and management) is certified EDUQUA, under the control of SGS, first world company in terms of certification.
