Discuss yur curse idea with peers and academic dean prir t submitting prpsal t make sure the curse can be dne practically and successfully b. Meet with academic dean t review the cmpleted prpsal d. Academic dean presents prpsal t academic deans fr apprval Step Three: Curse develpment e. Schedule appintment with estudi fr assistance in curse develpment estudi@suthcentral.edu f. Cmplete a prductin timeline fr curse develpment and relay timeline t academic dean Step Fur: Peer review All nline curses must g thrugh the peer review prcess. The academic dean and the faculty member will identify three r mre peer reviewers. g. Cntact academic dean when yur curse has an utline and 3 cmpleted mdules t initiate the peer review prcess h. Academic deans will then cntact the D2L site administratrs t setup a review curse and reviewer accunts. Academic deans will als cntact the reviewers t clarify the peer review prcess. In the case f external develpers, the academic dean will initiate the prcess chsing the reviewers. i. Make curse adjustments j. Faculty will cmplete the nline curse prpsal and submit it t their respective academic dean. (First-Time Develpers If yu are submitting a prpsal fr the first time, cntact the estudi fr assistance. ) The academic deans will meet t discuss all submissins fr further input and final apprval. Faculty will be ntified by their academic dean f apprval status and f further develpment that might be needed. Once the prpsal has been apprved, cntact the estudi grup fr help with curse develpment. Peer review shuld be scheduled after cmpletin f a curse utline and 3 mdules. Peer review teams are put tgether by academic dean and faculty member. Academic deans will cntact estudi t initiate a peer review sectin in D2L. Academic deans will cntact peer reviewers nce the review sectin is available in D2L. Peer reviews will use the peer review matrix t cmplete the review. Results f the Peer Review will be reviewed by curse develper and academic dean. The develper will make curse mdificatins deemed apprpriate. The decisin t pst the curse in the cllege schedule as an nline ffering fr the specified semester is determined. When 70% f the curse is cmpleted, the academic dean and faculty member will meet t assess whether the curse is ready fr nline delivery.
