Following is the Centre Notice for the purpose. Please Note that: INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATES Single Objective Type Test [Single Paper MCQ] Compulsorily get valid Identity proof alongwith the e- Admission Certificate (downloaded from CSIR website www.csirhrdg.res.in) for entry in Examination hall/room; Collect back the e-admission Certificate for your record; Enter the Examination Hall 30 minutes before the scheduled time;
No candidate shall be allowed to enter the Examination Center after the expiry of 30 minutes from commencement of paper; The carbonless duplicate Answer (OMR) Sheets, designed for Computer Evaluation, will be distributed 15 minutes before the scheduled time of exam; The Question paper booklet shall be distributed only five minutes before the schedule time of exam; Use only BLACK BALL POINT PEN to fill in your particulars and for darkening appropriate circles in the OMR; For all questions four responses have been provided, candidates are to mark their correct response in the appropriate box on the RESPONSE SHEET ONLY with BLACK BALL POINT PEN; No correction of any kind on the Response Sheet is permitted; The Original Answer Sheet must be returned to the Invigilator before leaving the examination hall. Those of the candidates who leave before expiry of the allotted time shall have to return the Question Paper Booklet; however, those of the candidates who sit upto the end of Examination can take the Question Paper Booklet and carbonless duplicate copy of the OMR Sheet alongwith them. Candidates are not allowed to use calculators of any description, in this Test. They are also not allowed to bring Digital Diaries, Mobile/Cellular Phones, Calculators or any other electronic communication devices in the Examination Hall. No arrangements for storing such devices will be available at the venue of Examination; however, candidates appearing for Engineering Sciences can use Calculator. Candidates found copying or resorting to any unfair means are liable to be disqualified from this and future examinations. USE OF ANSWER SHEET (OMR Sheet)
1. Answer sheet, having carbonless copy will be provided separately for making correct responses. The Answer Sheets (OMR) have been devised to convert the answers given by the candidate directly into computer data. The candidates must follow the instructions for filling up the answer sheets. Please check that the answer sheet is clearly printed and does not have smudge mark. Also, that it is not torn or mutilated. 2. Only BLACK BALL POINT PEN is allowed for filling up the response sheet. 3. Fill in each intended answer carefully and completely to cover the appropriate circle with a dark mark as shown in the sample illustration. Light or partial marks may not be read properly by the scoring machine. Do not make any rough calculation/scribbling on any side of the answer sheet. You may use blank pages provided in the booklet itself for your rough work or calculations. 4. Mark one answer to each question only, i.e., no question should have more than one mark in its answer column. If you put in more than one mark in any column, or having erroneously done so, the computer will reject your answer to the question and negative score will be awarded to it. 5. In order to avoid mistakes, which may make scoring by computer difficult, the candidate is advised to follow the Instructions, which will be given on the Test Booklet and also on the answer sheet. 6. Do not fold, crease or mutilate the answer sheet in any manner, whatsoever, and also make sure that it does not have any smudge or other marks which may make evaluation by the computer difficult. 7. Return the Original OMR Sheet to the staff on duty and retain the carbonless duplicate copy of the Answer Sheet for your reference & record.
8. NEGATIVE MARKING for wrong answers, wherever required, shall be @ 25%.
