Cummins HHPE Case Study Cummins ILM Level 3 Award in Effective Management Cummins HHPE is part of Cummins Inc., a global corporation of complementary business units that design, manufacture, distribute and service engines and related technologies. Following on from the huge success of a global Active Leadership Programme, designed and delivered to their management community in collaboration with QA, Cummins HHPE decided to offer the additional dimension of accreditation. As an established ILM Centre, QA was able to ensure that the existing robust content aligned to ILM specifications. After a launch event, the vast majority of the delegates elected to work towards the qualification. The programme focused on equipping current and future managers with the skills, knowledge and behaviours that would support them in their roles and drive the organisation forward. Siobhan Merrion Siobhan joined QA in January 2008 after running her own consultancy company and prior to this, as Head of Organisational Development for a business process outsourcing company with a headcount of 4,000 staff. Siobhan acts as a consultant to clients in the design of strategic interventions/organisational change programmes and initiatives at all levels throughout an organisation and the design and delivery of leading edge, soft-skill, events which drive an organisation s vision which are engaging, creative and challenging for those attending. Her background in the field of Learning & Development/ Organisational Development spans 24 years and during this time, Siobhan has designed and delivered many ILM programmes at Levels 2, 3, 4 & 5 (award & certificate) for multiple clients and sectors and is responsible, internally, for quality and governance of the QA ILM offering. She is currently working on bringing the Level 7 into the QA ILM family for mid-2015. Their work based assignments produced great evidence of where they were embedding and owning their learning. The programme ended in an event celebrating their achievement and this enthusiasm for development has led to a bespoke ILM Level accreditation path.
