Government of Maharashtra has organized a common entrance test MHT-CET-2010 for admission to Health Science, Engineering & Pharmacy professional courses. The examination was scheduled on Thursday, 06 th May 2010. The said examination was conducted at 740 centers at the 35 district head quarters in State of Maharashtra. The time table of the examination was as under Subject Physics & Chemistry Biology Mathematics Examination Time 10.00 am to 11.30 am 12.00 Noon to 1.30 pm 3.00 am to 4.30 pm The centers for the said examination were grouped under following categories. 1. For Health Sciences only BB Center 2. For Engineering only MM Center 3. For candidates opting for both Health MB Center Sciences & Engineering For MHT-CET 2010 total 2,85,263 eligible candidates were given admit cards. Instructions were issued to keep proper Police Bandobast at each Examination Centre. On the day of examination section 144 to be promulgated between 6.00 am at 8.00 pm to each examination centre. 06 th May, 2010, Thursday being working day as a matter of concern, all the candidates were instructed through News Paper & News Channel to start about 1-2 hours from their homes so as to reach the examination centre in proper time. Though the Common Entrance Test is designed for Health Science, Engineering & Pharmacy courses, Admission to Health Science Courses shall be done by Directorate of Medical Education & Research & for Engineering & Pharmacy courses shall be done by Directorate of Technical Education. The merit list of MHT-CET shall be used for preference form filling by the candidates. The said process shall be conducted around last week of June or the first week of July. The selection to Health Science Courses shall be as per merit & the Preferences given by the candidates. The Cut-off-date for admission to Medical, Dental and B.Sc.
