CPS Clickers Walk-Thru Guide Install the Presentation Express and ExamView software. Quick Take Presenter, which is a component of Presentation Express, will need to be installed to allow you to seamlessly operate the CPS Clickers. Follow the prompts to install Presentation Express (Quick Take Presenter) and Exam View. Open up your Presentation Express CD and select a chapter (see red arrow below). To enable use of the Clickers you must install ExamView Quick Take Presenter by clicking on the icon inside the red box below. Follow all directions and when asked, place the Quick Take Presenter on your desktop.. Select the section by clicking on View Show (see red arrow below)

To enter the presentations click on Continue. To exit click on End Show Scroll through the slides until you come to the slide that resembles below. Click on ExamView Quick Take (see red arrow below)

Click on OK and this will allow you to access the Section Quiz via the Clickers (see picture below). Click on the icon on the toolbar at the bottom left corner (see red arrow below) of your screen and a pop up menu will appear (see picture below)

Click on Preferences You will see the screen below

Click on CPS Response Pads and then Click on Manual IR Detection Pick up one of the Clickers and point it at the USB Receiver (blue receiver) and click on any button. When your remote control successfully communicates with the receiver the e logo will turn blue (see red arrow below)

To be able to view the response grid so you can see when students have answered the questions Click on the grid on the toolbar at the bottom of your screen (see red arrow below). You will be able to see which students have answered the question and which ones have yet to respond by looking at the Response Grid. When students have answered their box number will turn purple. The Clicker box number will remain gray for those students who have not answered (Numbers 10, 26 and 32) (see picture below). To show students the correct answer, click on the Green Check Mark on the toolbar at the bottom of your screen (see picture below). You will see the green check mark appear next to the correct answer (see picture below).

To see how the class did as a whole, click on the Bar Graph icon on the toolbar at the bottom of your screen (see picture below). You will see a Bar Graph showing how students responded both numbers and percentages (see picture below). The correct answer has its bar graph in green.

Often times teachers want to be able to see how an individual student did on the questions given in class. This is especially helpful if you want to have documentation showing a student, or even the student s parent(s) what their child is or is not doing in class. To see how each student performed Click on the Quick Take Presenter icon on the left hand side of the toolbar at the bottom of your screen (see picture below). Next, Click on View Response Log (see red arrow below). An Excel Spreadsheet will come up and show you the date the assessment piece was given, the time it was given, the Chapter and Section the assessment piece came from, the correct answer as well as every individual student s answer to each question (see picture below).

To create a test or quiz that can be used with the Clickers do the following: 1) Create your test or quiz using ExamView. 2) Save that test to your desktop. 3) From your desktop click on the test or quiz you just created one time. That test will turn blue/gray. Drag the Test or quiz over the top of Quick Take Presenter and let it go (see picture below). Drag the test over the top of QTP 4) Your test or quiz will be opened up by Quick Take Presenter (see picture below). 5) Follow the directions given above to sync up your clickers to the USB Receiver.
