The sessions in this booklet are offered in addition to the support available from your programme team. Talk to them to find out how they can support your revision and assessment planning. Study smarter Good planning will help you work smarter and maximise your potential in assessments and assignments. So take advantage of these sessions to think about how you will approach each task. Here s the serious bit If you are studying on a programme that is offered over a conventional academic year (September to May) you may well have an assessment period in January. LJMU s Assessment Skills Programme offers you an opportunity to reflect upon what you have learned, and then enhance the skills that will help you achieve your academic potential. If you are not sitting exams or handing in assignments in January, you can still attend the workshops and classes to help you plan for your next assessments. Check with your programme team, as they may also run activities to prepare you for assessments and assignments.
