You may then enter the student name and any other information about the student you would like to add. Click Add. 3. You re student s name will now appear in the Student List. You may delete or edit this information at any time by clicking on Student. Starting a Session:

1.Be sure your student s name appears next to Student. 2. Push the green GO button. This will start your session. The Settings For Optimized Intervention: This app has several different settings for activities. You can: * Change the session duration from 1-30 minutes or infinite. * Can the response time from 1-30 seconds or infinite. * Choose whether or not the student can tap either the correct picture or the region of the correct picture. * Choose the picture type (either drawing or photograph) * Choose a background * Change the cueing system between Blob (a spider like character) or an arrow. * Turn Animated Reinforcement off and indicate which character should give the reinforcement * Turn on/off animated introduction * Turn on/off Test-Taking Encouragement. * Under the headings Auto Scan and 2-Switch Scan is where settings for switch accessibility will be found.

The Settings for Testing: The settings for Testing are very similar to during the instruction lessons: * Sessions can be 1-30 minutes or Infinite. * Response times can be 1-30 seconds or Infinite. * The Response target can be either the picture and region around picture or just picture * Speech and/or text can be turned on and off using a slide bar next to the word. * Picture types (either picture or photograph) can be selected (by tapping). * Background can be a scene or gray (by tapping selection) * Animated Introduction and Test Taking Encouragement can be turned off or on by using the slide bar next to them. * Switch and scanning settings are located under the Auto-Scan and 2-Switch Scan headings.

Choosing Vocabulary Vocabulary can be selected and unselected by simply: 1. Tapping the Vocabulary tab at the bottom of the screen 2. Select (or tap) the words you don t want to have presented (all come auto selected) 3. You can Select All or Deselect all by choosing the appropriate button on the bottom left. Words can be shown in 3 types of lists: Training Order, Level Order, or Alphabetical Order. You may move freely between these lists by clicking on the tab at the top left of the page. Once you have chosen the vocabulary, tap the green GO button in the upper left hand corner and the lesson will start.

Interpreting the Data: In the data screen, you can easily navigate between students by tapping (selecting) the student s name from the Student List. This screen also shows the notes you may have indicated about that particular student in the upper right hand portion of the screen. The Student Log shows the date of the activity, time, duration, type of activity (Optimized Intervention/Testing) and the results. These results are the number correct over the total number of problems presented. Other: By tapping the About button on the bottom right hand corner of the screen a very helpful screen will open. This includes information about the Laureate Learning Systems, Inc. company, Helpful Hints on the app in general, information on connecting external switches, how to backup and recover your data, and all the contact information for the company.
