What formal programmes do we offer? Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration (NQF 8) Master of Business Administration (NQF 9) Master of Business Leadership (NQF 9) Doctor of Business Leadership (NQF 10) Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration (PGD) The PGD is your stepping stone towards a successful business leadership career. It will broaden your business and management perspective, providing you with the tools to effectively lead as you journey towards the upper-echelons of the business sphere. This PGD gives you access to continue with your studies towards an MBA or MBL, providing that you meet the admission requirements of your programme of choice. Master of Business Administration (MBA) An MBA is regarded by many as the ticket to the C-suite. After all, you d be hard-pressed to find a CEO who doesn t have one. More than anything, an MBA is structured to turn a manager into a holistic leader capable of steering an organisation and its people to success. The MBA gives you access to continue your studies towards a Doctor of Business Leadership (DBL), providing that you meet the admission requirements of the DBL. 04 Master of Business Leadership (MBL) When there is competent leadership within organisations, those organisations thrive. The MBL provides professional management development at postgraduate level with particular emphasis on the theory as well as the practice of leadership. The programme is geared towards developing the leadership qualities of managers and empowering them to become competent, confident leaders. The MBL gives you access to continue your studies towards a Doctor of Business Leadership (DBL), providing that you meet the admission requirements of the DBL. Doctor of Business Leadership (DBL) The more informed you are, the more empowered you are and the greater your chances of achieving success. Beyond gaining knowledge, DBL students are given the platform, skills and competence to make a significant contribution to new knowledge in business management and leadership.

Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration (PGD) The PGD programme has lifted my professional life as I have become a strong link in my organisation s value chain. I feel that after the course I can take on any leadership or strategic role because of what I have learnt. The contemporary and practical focus of the programme has given me a 360 view of business and has improved my business acumen, from accounting to value chain management and the global business environment. I was particularly impressed by the Knowledge Management module as it broadened my understanding of why it is a strategic imperative within the organisation and I quickly started introducing it into my daily work. Every profession is a business, as long as it involves people, systems and finances. Rejoice Dzowa PGD Graduate Who should do the PGD? If you are an individual who is interested in applying managerial competencies in the workplace the PGD will provide you with these competencies. The programme will develop your decision-making skills, your ability to resolve complex problems and will provide you with vital managerial competencies to ensure that you can take your place with the leadership in any organisation. MBA vs. MBL: What is the difference? Introduction The Unisa Graduate School of Business Leadership (SBL) is the only business school in South Africa that offers both a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master of Business Leadership (MBL). Following market demand for an MBA, the SBL introduced a brand-new MBA in 2016. Doctor of Business Leadership (DBL) I elected to commence my DBL at UNISA while residing in the United States as I was able to conduct interesting research in an industry that was highly relevant to representatives of South African exporters. The SBL faculty and supervisors guided me throughout my research with the result that I was able to achieve rich international business strategy findings that could be extrapolated across most industries involved in exporting.
