Students should come to class each day will sufficient paper for note taking. The basic, advanced, and theoretical techniques of the principles and practices of lighting design for the stage. Included are design functions, instrumentation, electricity, history and theories of design. 1. The student will be able to understand the basic skills and theoretical practices involved in lighting design. 2. The student will be able to identify and understand the use of theatrical lighting instrument and all tools associated with those instruments. 3. The student will be able to practically apply the skills learned in a completed lighting design (conceptual).
