Participation 20% Grading Scale:! 91-100 = A! 81-90 = B! 71-80 = C! 61-70 = D! 0-60 = F Requirements of the SJoA CCD Program Holy Mass 1. All students enrolled in the SJoA CCD program must attend Holy Mass every Sunday and every Holy Day of Obligation, and those Masses that are listed as required in the class syllabus. a. Grades 2, 8, 11 must attend Holy Mass at St. Joan of Arc. 2. Any student who is absent from more than three (3) Masses during the CCD calendar year could be discontinued from the SJoA CCD program. Class Attendance 1. Attendance is required. 2. A student will not be advanced to the next grade if he (she) has more than three (3) unexcused absences. 3. Furthermore, any student with more than three (3) unexcused absences during the CCD calendar year could be discontinued from the SJoA CCD program. Behavior and Decorum 1. Disrespectful behavior or immoral conduct will not be tolerated. Such behavior subjects a student to expulsion from the SJoA CCD program. 2. Fighting on church grounds will lead to expulsion from the SJoA CCD program. 3. Students are to fulfill all homework assignments and class projects on time. 4. Students are to be respectful, cooperative, cheerful, and prompt. Dress Code 1. Students in grades 1-4 may wear shorts during CCD. Shorts must come to the knees. 2. Students in grades 5-11 are not allowed to wear shorts during CCD. 3. Students may not use the SJoA facilities to change attire before or after class. 4. All students must wear shirts with sleeves covering all of their shoulders and at least part of their arms. 5. Exercise or practice attire is not permitted during CCD classes; neither are shoes with cleats. 6. When arriving for CCD classes, students must be clean and properly groomed. 7. All gentlemen (regardless of age) are to remove their hats/caps inside the Parish Hall. 8. Students who are inappropriately dressed will be sent home. This absence will be unexcused. Mobile Devices 1. Mobile devices are not permitted during class without the expressed permission of the teacher. 2. A first offense of unauthorized use of a mobile device during CCD activities will lead to a significant extra- curricular homework assignment. The second offense will lead to the expulsion of the student from the SJoA CCD program. 5
