HOMEWORK/Online activities 1) Fr hmewrk, students will be required t watch vide lessns curated/created by me, where the lessn will be taught with examples in the same way it wuld be taught in class. Because yu are watching the vides, each student can watch and prcess at her wn pace. 2) Each vide can be accessed thrugh Ggle Classrm(students must be lgged int WCPSS student accunt). Each vide will cver 1 cncept and students will typically watch a ttal f 7-15 min f vide a night. Students shuld plan n spending TWICE the amunt f time n hmewrk as the vide length is, since they will be pausing t take ntes and spending a few minutes at the end thinking and reflecting abut what they learned. 3) While watching the vides, students shuld cmplete vide ntes/cmplete fldable prvided fr them. After viewing the vide, students will write a summary f the cncept learned n the vide ntes page and submit via a Ggle Frm that is embedded in the assignment belw the vide. The quality and depth f the summary infrms me f hw much they truly understd the cncept and any miscnceptins that need t be further explained. After the summary, students shuld write at least ne questin alng the margin regarding the cntent. This may be a questin that they d nt knw hw t answer r it may be a questin that they d knw the answer t. Students are challenged t use the prvided HOT (Higher Order Thinking) questin starters. 4) There will be a few nights where there will be practice prblems, typically prir t assessments. 5) Hmewrk assignments, upcming tests, quizzes, prjects & ther graded assignments can be fund n the Unit Calendar & ggle classrm.
