It starts with a calling. A God placed conviction that you are a part of a bigger world and part of your purpose is to lead others in their faith journey and their personal trek to places around the world. Weekdays: Mon Thursday Rise and Shine start your day with ten minutes of group devotionals and twenty minutes of prayerful meditation Followed by a 30 minute Endurance and Strength training Breakfast going to taste good now! Earl has work for you to do, you will spend six hours on assigned areas of responsibilities Meals are provided and you will end each work day with a dinner together One agreed upon day each session starts 90 minutes later After dinner, you will have some light reading and study assignments, social time and a chance to catch up on communication with home Each day will end with prayer and short devotion Fridays Rise and Shine start your day with ten minutes of group devotionals and twenty minutes of prayerful meditation Earl has work for you to do, you will spend eight hours on assigned areas of responsibilities to greet our incoming guests fully prepared for the weekend Each day will end with prayer and short devotion Saturdays The big day! you will spend ten hours on assigned areas of responsibilities including time on the river and supporting our Venture Crew Each day will end with prayer and short devotion Sundays Finishing up the weekend and participating in Sunday Morning Worship This is a four hour work day and plan is for you to be on your way to KC

The Internship can be done for pay, scholarship or combination Session One Six = 68 Hours each or 408 hrs Bonus Weekend = 18 Hrs Base = 426 hours times $10 = $4,260 plus $400 finish the race bonus = $4,660 Each week will have a designated Crew Chief which earns $100 for the week There will also be $20 a week in Store Credit at the Trading Post Includes: River Boots River Shirt Food Lodging Transport from and to KC Venture Crew BSA Membership Study Materials

Take care of yourself, your health, your stuff and your area You will learn about on-line communities and be expected to develop content and post photos and create buzz Getting ready for each weekend s guest is the TOTAL responsibility of the interns On weekends you arrive on Friday, you will need to plan ahead You will be trained on First Aid and CPR Endurance Training will be a small portion of each day and will be scaled to your physical ability Be timely for transport times, especially on Fridays, we cannot cause the team to be late You will share group responsibilities for clean-up, etc. We are not finalized on College credits, but the course work is not optional We recognize that our interns come from different faiths and have varying views on social and moral issues; we expect that you will conduct yourself with character, never reflect badly on the Ministry and be especially aware of conduct in the presence of guests We will need to have a good quality backpack for hiking for the scheduled treks

Many decisions will be made by a Community Council that includes LW Leadership and the Interns Group expectations, conduct and responsibilities to each other There will be at least three roles each week that will be assigned to folks over the six Sessions Crew Chief Develops Work Assignments Leads Morning Devotionals Leads Weekday Endurance Training Intern Social Events (compensated $100 per session) Event Director Coordinates details for guests arriving that weekend (compensated $50 per session) Grub Master feeds us all (including the weekend) (compensated $50 per session and time away from the day s work) We will have Subject Matter Experts training much of the course work. Schedules will be adjusted to accommodate the visiting experts. (Which is to say, training and personal development time is not compensated work time) During your off weekdays, you must meet with Rex twice and Paul twice over the course of the Summer.
