DEGREE PROGRAMS Bachelor of Fine arts Cinema A multidisciplinary approach that provides hands-on experience with the equipment, technology, business processes, and collaborative workflow used in film, television, and new media development, production, post-production, and distribution. An AFA degree program is also available. Areas of Emphasis: Acting Cinematography Directing Editing/VFX New Media Producing Sound Writing Bachelor of Fine arts Graphic Design + Interactive Media Combines design and aesthetics studies with a practical, project-based curriculum that takes ideas from concept to production using the professional tools, technology, and collaborative workflow used to create visual content for both digital and print media. *Program starting in 2018 Areas of Emphasis: Graphic Design Interactive Media Digital Marketing Bachelor of Fine arts Visual Effects Provides an immersive, project-based experience with industry-standard technology, creative skills, and collaborative workflow used to create visual effects for film, animation, digital art, and videogames. *Program starting in 2018 Areas of Emphasis: Animation Compositing Modeling WHY LIBERAL ARTS? Career Development 74% of our 2015 graduates began working in educationally related employment opportunities within a year of graduation. Our Career Development Center offers individualized assistance to students, graduates, and alumni to help them build sustainable careers in the entertainment industry. While you re a student and after you graduate, the Career Development Center provides resources, guidance, and training, including: Resume/cover letter development Job interview techniques Portfolio & website development Internship & job application assistance Production-related resources Interactive workshops & seminars Internships You can participate in school sponsored internships for course credit beginning in your junior year. #1 Application Process Complete The Common Application or Columbia College Hollywood Application online at www.columbiacollege.edu #2 Provide official high school transcripts showing a 2.5 GPA or higher and official college transcripts from all prior institutions. #3 Submit a 500 word essay #4 Submit two (2) letters of recommendation (not required for transfer applicants) #5 Complete an interview with your Admissions Counselor International students: In addition to the above requirements, submit TOEFL (80 minimum) or IELTS (6.5 minimum) scores.
