EXAMINATION POLICY AND PROMOTION POLICY Academic Session 2014-15 For Classes I to V There is no formal examination for Classes I to V. The teacher will evaluate the students through CCE. Promotion Policy/ Rules for class XI: 1 In order to be declared as Passed a candidate shall obtain not less than 33% marks in each of the five subjects on Cumulative basis in theory and practical separately. 2 If a student gets less than 33% in one subject, he/she will be placed in compartment in the said subject as per the rules. Student failing in more than one subject shall not be promoted. 3 A student having less than 75% attendance in an academic session shall not be permitted to appear in the final Examination. 4 Any other promotion rule applicable as per the policy of Dierctorate of Education, Govt. of Delhi. 4

5 All students have to take each test/examination so as to determine his/her result on Cumulative basis. In order to calculate Cumulative result the Weightage of each term will be as follows: Class - XI Max marks Conversion for Cumulative Result (a) Subject without practical work 100 3/4 of the marks obtained in 2 nd term exam + marks obtained in first term exam out of 25 marks 100 (75 + 25) (b) Subject with practical work (Phy,Chem, Bio, Ph.Ed.) (b) Appearing for Assignments/Summative Assessmenst/Term Exam is mandatory. 5

(c) In case of Medical leave, Medical Certificate to be submitted with an application the day he/she rejoins the school. (d) Appearing for all the Assessment is mandatory. In case of absence in any of the tools of Assessment, the teacher may assign same or alternate task with or without the prior information. (e) In such cases subject teacher is responsible for the conducting of any alternate task, The same can be conducted in long-break, co-curricular period with the proper coordination with the subject teacher/coordinator. (f) The student absent in Class XI for other than medical reasons with or without information, zero mark is awarded. (g) In case of Medical leave the promotion of the child will be as per the directorate of education, NCT of Delhi. (h) Student who joins in the mid-session, he/she needs to submit the Marks /Grade Statement from the previous school and his/her performance in the previous school will also be taken in to account for promotion. 6
