20th International Exhibition on Education & Career All about education & employment in Greece & abroad! 11 & 12 November 2017, Athinais Cultural Center, Athens 13 November, Makedonia Palace Hotel, Thessaloniki Parallel Event on Employment & Career

EDUCATION & CAREER best enables you to reach out to the largest foreign student market in Europe! A very high percentage of Greek students opt to study at foreign universities. It is estimated that approximately 45,000-50,000 Greek students study abroad on undergraduate and graduate level. This means that Greece is the largest foreign student market in Europe. In to day!s complex and demanding job market, education is the most valuable asset for succeeding in the workplace. Under the current difficult economic conditions, the International Exhibition EDUCATION & CAREER, takes on more importance as it offers the opportunity to visitors to explore all the possibilities available for studying and working in Greece or abroad and to exhibitors the possibility to inform a wide audience, network, exchange information and ideas, recruit students and look for collaborations and alliances. The EDUCATION & CAREER fair is the biggest and only complete exhibition on education and career in Greece and one of the key fairs in Europe. The purpose of the exhibition is to provide in a direct and effective way a comprehensive overview of educational programmes offered in Greece and abroad, by public and private institutes, on undergraduate and postgraduate level. It also aims at supporting the efforts of graduates and job seekers to kickstart a career, change their job or enhance their skills through lifelong learning. 2

Concept The Education & Carreer Fair is adapting its format to the needs of its exhibitors and visitors. We are making major changes to the format of the Fair. First of all, the Fair has been transferred its venue to the Athinais Cultural Center, in the centre of Athens. With state of the art facilities, in a post-industrial buildings area, close to two metro stations, Athinais Cultural Center has become the key meeting point for Athenian youths. Concerts, exhibitions, conferences take place regularly attracting thousands of visitors thanks to its easy access and very attractive environment. Thessaloniki is the second largest city in Greece and an economic and trade hub for all the Balkan region. But most of all, Thessaloniki is a key student city in Greece, with almost 100,000 students living there. It is the student city by excellence and the combination with the Athens fair is ideal for those interested in targeting the Greek market. The Thessaloniki fair is organised at the leading hotel of the city, the Makedonia Palace Hotel. Secondly, the table-top-meetings (TTM) concept, instead of the classic booths, makes the entire process simpler and significantly reduces participation cost for exhibitors. It also makes the entire fair lighter and more accessible to students. Last but not least, B2B pre-scheduled meetings with 25 educational agents from the Balkans (Albania, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Fyrom, Romania, Serbia, Turkey) will allow Greek and foreign participants to establish links with leading professionals who will be invited to the Fair by the Organisers and will relay in their countries the information collected in Athens. "xhibitors Universities from Greece and abroad, Technological Educational Institutes (TEI), Vocational Institutes (IEK), Embassies and Cultural Divisions, Publications, Professional Training Bodies, Suppliers of products and services for young people, Suppliers of infrastructure and services for educational institutes. Represented countries in the past (alphabetically): Australia, Bulgaria, Canada, Cyprus, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Slovakia, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Turkey, United Kingdom and the United States of America. Visitors Around 5,000 visitors come to the show every year, seeking information on educational programmes and employment opportunities offered in Greece and abroad. The visitors are High School students, undergraduate and graduate students, parents of High School students, adults looking for a career change or further study, jobseekers, educators, career counsellors, representatives from Ministries and government bodies, professionals of the education sector, Media. 3
