Fuel for Kids School Information Package - In 2016 Conestoga Public School raised $8,901-

Meet the FORTINOS Team Driver Dave Connelly has been racing professionally for 17 years competing in both the CASCAR and NASCAR Series throughout his career Fuel for Kids is a fundraiser in a box; we provide all of the components for you, but it s up to each individual school to make the most of this opportunity. Have fun with it; it s truly a once in a lifetime event for the kids at your school!

Fuel for Kids Info Congratulations - your school has been adopted by your local FORTINOS store for the opportunity to host the Fuel for Kids fundraiser. This is a tremendous opportunity for your students, staff, and parents to raise a significant amount of money for anything that your school needs. The program has been operating in communities all over Ontario for the last 12 years and has raised over $300,000. Our current record holder was set in 2016 by Conestoga Public School who raised $8,901 in 3 hours!

At Your School Your school will receive a visit from the FORTINOS Race Team and the actual driver; Dave Connelly. Dave and his team will arrive at your school to deliver your students a very unique Show and Tell. The Show and Tell will be an informative and educational talk about the various safety elements both in what Dave wears as a driver and what is designed into his actual racecar. Dave can handle up to 500 students in one talk, his show and tell typically last 20 minutes. At the end Dave often has the school assembled outside for his final donut goodbye which is always a hit with students and staff! Check out Dave s Donuts on Youtube! https://youtu.be/flmcwbovxaq

At The Store That evening the team will visit your FORTINOS store and put on a BBQ fundraiser for your adopted school. School volunteers are needed to attend the event and flyers and newsletters go home with the kids promoting all the parents to get out and support their school. 100% of the proceeds from the event goes back to the school Additional at store activities will help raise money; face painting, piethrowing, raffles etc. are all welcome

Hints for a Successful Store Fundraising Event Promote Your Event: Letters home to Mom and Dad, Twitter, Facebook, Voicemails, Posters at School are some of the ways that schools have got the word out. PARENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Get your parent council involved to make this work. This is the easiest fundraiser of the year. We will be selling Pillers Sausage, Hot Dogs, and the Snack packages- which will include: a drink, and snacks etc. for $5.00. All of the food is donated (so every dollar raised goes directly to your school). The BBQ will take place at your local FORTIONOS from 4pm to 7pm on the day of your event.

One of a Kind Raffle Item Dave and Fortinos have donated (2) spots to attend a day with Dave learning to drive one of his actual 500hp stockcars at a real race track. Your school will have the opportunity to sell tickets to this day at your event, at the end of the Fuel for Kids tour this fall a ticket will be drawn by that principal and 2 people will join the team next spring for this absolutely priceless prize. All of the money from the tickets you sell will go directly to your school on the night of your event!

Hello, On behalf of Plum Tree Park, I wanted to thank you for giving us such an amazing opportunity at our school! With Fuel For Kids we were able to raise a great deal of money for some well needed outdoor play equipment and most importantly bring our community together. It was absolutely amazing to see so many families, teachers and members of the community come together on one special night. We had such a great turnout that Dave informed me that our school raised more money than any other school in the history of the event! Dave Connelly and his crew member Al were fantastic to work with and the kids couldn't stop talking about the presentation they received at school. I must also thank our local store and Jacquie and Bob for being so amazing and helpful during the BBQ. I honestly can't thank you enough. It's wonderful to see what you are doing for schools in Ontario. I'll be sure to pass on pictures of our new playground equipment when we get in installed!!!! All the best and thank you again! Marlo Naughton Plum Tree Park Public School Mississauga, ON (905) 824-0155 X122

What s your schools responsibility? To provide 5-8 volunteers for the evening at the FORTINOS BBQ event. Think of this as a Fundraiser in a Box FORTIONOS and their vendors will provide all of the food free of charge - and Dave and his team will provide all the tools to execute the fundraiser. Promote the event to all of the parents and community to ensure as many people as possible attend the event. There is no limit on how much money we can raise your school take advantage of it! This can be the easiest and most profitable event that you do. Get active parents or teachers involved! We understand that running a school is extremely challenging and difficult enough without having to think of creative ways to raise money for busing, musical instruments, smart boards etc. but someone in your school or parent council can pick up this opportunity and run with it.

Next Steps After the local FORTINOS store has adopted your school you will receive a call from the race team confirming your event and Dave will discuss details of the day and answer any questions you may have. The teams contact info is listed below: Dave Connelly 102 Pine Grove Road Arnprior, Ontario dave@racesportz.com www.racesportz.com
